I've always really loved Eowyn. She's human. She has no special powers or training, she just really loves her friends and family and wants to fight for them. She'd do anything for them even when she's told she can't. And I really feel like that shows how strong anyone can be.

Not a whole lot in my room but there's a shit ton all over my apartment.

6. What do you spend most of your money on?

Umm I'm really bad for buying food instead of just making it at home. If I didn't have a job working at a body jewellery store, I would spend sooo much money there.

I'm kinda bad for just sleeping all the time when I don't have anything important to do. Like I'll sleep till the last possible moment before work instead of getting up at a decent time and having breakfast or something.

Which is fine, allies are fine, but Macklemore isn't the homosexual messiah and that's the way a lot of people like to dress him up so my point still stands; people don't want to hear about these issues from the people who are actually apart of minority groups, who are actually effected, they'd rather hear from a heterosexual white man. A women could not preach equality and reversed gender roles in her music without suffering major backlash, a homosexual man could not write a song about wanting the right to love who he pleases, a black man could not talk about equality for the aforementioned groups without suffering backlash.

Minorities cannot be directly represented because people don't want to see them directly represented and from a societal standpoint, that's fucking pathetic.

I'd have to disagree with that. I think that's how an industry who cherishes straight white men works. It's not difficult to write music that eludes or just states support for the queer community or women's rights, lots of people do it, however it will not be represented.

Like seriously, I have no problem with Macklemore being an ally or supportive, that's not really my issue. My issue really is everything surrounding him because it just strikes me as so irritating because it isn't difficult to preach the messages that he preaches, it's very easy, you just have to not be an asshole. Really, I think like half of why he's so famous is purely because he was born with the body and sexuality that society deems most acceptable. If he was a tan or brown man or actually gay, or shit, ever trans* he'd still be waaaaay underground in the world of music.
