Hi there, DE question. What's the best way to learn more about Jean during a playthru? Don't really wanna spoil myself by just reading his wiki page. He always hangs out at the Whirling and shows up at the end to call me out and that's it. I see fanart and in-jokes about him and have no idea what's actually canon lol
definitely put a bunch of points into esprit de corps. but i'll warn you, even when you do that, there isn't a TON of jean info. people like him because of the implications about what happened before the game, the implications about how dedicated he was to harry, all stuff we don't directly see. if you start a new game with high edc, you'll get more info about what's going on back at the station before jean shows up at the whirling and some scenes of him being concerned about harry.
i'm not sure which jokes you've seen, but some of them might also be referencing things former writer martin luiga has said on twitter about his jean headcanons which include things like jean and harry having slept together and jean being addicted to amphetamines.
