Random Scavenging II Open
Lyric hated being cooped up, and while she appreciated having a somewhat safe place to stay for awhile, she knew it wouldn't be permanent. Almost nothing was anymore. She might be young but she knew the reality of things, it was hard but it was what it was. For now she thought it'd be good to see if she could track down something to eat, even if it was just a rabbit or two, it would be something at least.
It was hard to try and turn off her thoughts. Honestly it was almost impossible, she was constantly thinking - wondering. About her siblings, if they were alive - but hoping and almost wishing they were alive. The unknown was the worst part really. She just didn't actually know anymore. She had hope of course, but hope was something most people considered foolish now. Her hand clutches tighter to the knife in her hand, forcing herself to take a deep breath, she freezes as she hears a sound. Quickly she moved, pulling herself up into the nearest tree, she was quick and quiet, it gave her a slight advantage as she peered down, trying to see who - or what, was nearby.
