#dbh negative

instead of doing anything productive (like, say, work on doesthisneedatitle. im so sorry. the end of the year lethargy is getting to me) i am just progressively losing my mind as i dig deeper and deeper into the mess that is the dbh universe's worldbuilding. like. i already KNEW it was dogshit, ok? i knew. and yet.

sorry ive been a while without touching a game but i was just remembering how incredibly lightweight the 'violence' route is for markus actually. like the harshest you can go is setting fire to inanimate objects, killing maybe 3 or 4 guards/cops before fully facing military powers and, at the actual most aggressive, just nuclear clear out the town (which certainly is the most extreme but as i see it not even close to how just ruthlessly bloody it couldve been in comparison to what we see the human side get away with)

im still a bit upset the only character to get a good ending epilogue is Connor :\ like. dont get me wrong, i adore that hug more than i can describe but the fact Kara and Markus only get epilogues at the absolute worst circumstances is so sad?? it wouldve been nice just seeing Kara Luther and Alice managing to go for a walk without fear, or just a glimpse at Markus at that same calm spot doing one of his previous activities (painting/playing/reading) to chill for a little from Leading The Revolution? it wouldnt require new models or new settings, maybe more mocap work but so did the hugging i imagine? i just think ALL the main characters deserved a little more resolution from their stories
