Eposure, a hub for UK based commercial photographers, ran a survey of photographer in the UK and the US. Below are some of the graphed results - it's not immediately clear on their website which currencies they're graphing. I would assume dollars for the US, pounds for the UK.
Again, these rates are specifically quoted by commercial photographers.

Oh how depressing. My first shoot was for Rolling Stone Magazine back in 1995 and I remember getting $450 a day plus expenses. Most magazines paid 500-600 and still pay the same. 18 years later! Rodale's Organic Style paid 1,000 a day but the magazine folded. Its amazing that so many magazines are in existence but most are squeezed and over in England budgets have halved. The difference is, now I have two kids to look after. You might say editorial shooting is turning into a vanity exercise.
