It’s Saturday night, and a gaggle of our Catrina’s got all dressed up to go out on the town! These decadently dressed skeletons that are regularly associated with Day of the Dead got their start in the early 20th century when cartoonist Jose Guadalupe Posada satirized rich individuals who’d insinuate that death wasn’t for them, only for poor people. We all know, however, that none of us can escape death and so Posada’s satirical images became a popular one and flourished.
