The story is all about Zakia, an Afghan woman who runs a bakery and wants to work because she does not want to depend on anybody. She is starting her work every day at 4 a.m. and continues until late night, 9 p.m. Actually, this small business promises herself and her family a better living. An Afghan woman embroider decorating a piece of cloth by sewing colorful flowers and patterns on it with thread. The art of embroidery and fabric handicrafts is rooted in the cultural history of Afghanistan. For example, embroidery by the Uzbeks, Hazaras, and Tajiks are world-renowned. Pashtun embroidery is very popular among many tribes within Afghanistan. In the other hand, using splendid techniques, embroidering is traditionally done by Afghan women and girls. They decorate the fabrics with gold and silver-colored threads made of wool or silk.
