Equanimity & The Bird Revelation Dave Chapelle never seems to fail us when it comes to his stand up comedies and he can keep that going with his new Netflix series including 2 shows, 1. Equanimity 2. The Bird Revelation. I thought about splitting the review into 2 reviews but it being my first, you get a 2 for 1 special. I’ll start with Equanimity, great show. The material was sort of dry but that’s Dave Chappelle’s nitch, “dry humor” because it dries you out of all your tears from laughing so hard. I won’t go too much into what he talks about because I will honestly say, he discusses almost the same thing in both shows. It’s almost like it was the same show night different set times. Nonetheless I do recommend you watch both sets. In The Bird Revelation, Dave Chappelle seems to be in his comfort zone, he got the crowd laughing, he’s on Sunset smoking a joint (or maybe a cig) but he was feeling himself. Definitely kept me laughing the entire time from when he got $25,000 under the table for a show to his take on Donald Trump. Also be on the look out for more OJ jokes. Lastly, Dave had this part of both shows where it took me back to the end of Chappelle show where he might put his jokes aside and touch basis on the serious matter. For like the 2 seconds he’s serious it’s pretty deep, then he rolls back into his routine. On a scale of 1-10 I give this series a 7
