I lucked out and @secretsoftheuniverse1987 claimed my bar vs bakery prompt which featured two collage panels, and created a pure romance with two people running along each other like parallel lines, a story as much about the community around them as their relationship. Hello hello! This was supposed to be less than 5000 words, just a little one-shot for the @destielaureversebb's pollspn event. It ballooned, and here is the result. I do have to take the 'shame' badge, however, because I spun the 'Dean' wheel an extra time. Anyway, enjoy!

I always had an on and off love affair with figure skating and my crush was triggered when I saw a bunch of freestyle skaters performing last year. It didn’t take long to picture Dean as one of them which led to Cas being a classic figure skater and so….

Art Masterpost

So when I painted pieces 2 and 3 (originally a diptych) I wasn't certain what story I wanted told just that it would have something to do with souls being visible. I couldn't possibly have imagined the world that @blackhorsedances would create from this!

This is quite possibly my favourite fic I've ever had the pleasure of working on. I adore scifi so when @blackhorsedances picked my art and told me she was writing a space opera based on my art I was a little bit excited (I kinda screamed about it to everyone who would listen! 😬)

I may have gone a bit overboard with creating art for this brilliant story but honestly, if I'd had the time, I'd have done at least another ten pieces.

Please please read this brilliant fic. It blew me away. The world building is unreal and I'm honestly just floored to have been a part of this.
