Savor these decadent, fudgy, rich date browniesa healthier take on classic brownies. These brownies are loaded with chocolate flavor and free of gluten. They are sweetened with honey and natural dates. Ideal for a guilt-free indulgence!
Ingredients: 1 cup pitted dates. 1/2 cup hot water. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 cup almond flour. 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup. 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted. 2 eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional. Chopped nuts optional, for garnish.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Grease and put aside an 8 x 8-inch 20 x 20 cm baking pan. Soak the pitted dates in hot water for approximately ten minutes or until they become tender in a small bowl. Place the soaked dates in a food processor or blender, along with the hot water, and process until a smooth date paste forms. The date paste, baking powder, cocoa powder, almond flour, melted coconut oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt should all be combined in a sizable mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly until all components are thoroughly blended. Mix chocolate chips into the brownie batter if you'd like. Evenly spread the brownie batter after pouring it into the baking pan that has been oiled. You can optionally add chopped nuts to the top for flavor and crunch. A toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies should come out with a few moist crumbs not wet batter after 20 to 25 minutes of baking in a preheated oven. After taking the brownies out of the oven, allow them to cool for ten minutes or so in the pan. After the brownies have cooled down a bit, cut them into squares or rectangles and place them on a wire rack to finish cooling. Savor the flavor of your Fudgy Date Brownies!
