1. I LOVE HOW UNAPOLOGETIC YOU ARE! you're not afraid to say what you think and feel and then defend those things. Its really inspiring
2. In the short time I've known you, you have been SO kind and supportive đ. You seem to really care about people and their wellbeing
3. It was so fun to find out that you are an Avril fan!!! Its been a LONG time since I knew anyone else who liked her music
Bonus: its been fun to have someone to scream about my new found love for reylo with (I'm notoriously late to the party for everything, so it's always nice to fine people to get excited with when it's new for me đ)
LOVE YOU EMILY!!!! đđđ
Send me a 𤍠and Iâll tell you 3 things Iâve thought about you!
đ¤Ť
1. I donât like Reylo at all but I would fix tros and directed/given the reylo you deserve
2. YOU ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH!!!! YOU WOULD BE COMPETENT AT ANY JOB THROWN AT YOU!!! (I still believe this always)
3. Emilyâs sense of loyalty and justice are as fierce as her fury. And I love it.
Send me a 𤍠and Iâll tell you 3 things Iâve thought about you
Hi Maria I donât think Iâve seen you talk abt The Man?? So I wanna know if you have any Insights to share on that one thank
HI EMILY!!
yay thank you!! :)
I love The Man! I think itâs great!Â
I have two major thoughts.Â
1. Itâs interesting and important that Taylor isnât saying she wants to be able to do all the things the song mentions? I donât think she actually WANTS to âplay the fieldâ (because she wouldnât be Taylor without her lifelong search for romantic love that, on the whole, has been the guiding force behind her romantic decisions). She says âTheyâd sayâ. She chafes at the fact that her actions would be interpreted differently if she were a man and I believe her. I think itâs especially true in Taylorâs case, even over many other women. Because she has such a strong and, as Emma always says, un-charming personality, and those qualities are often accepted or at the very least not despised as much in men. She has a matter-of-fact approach to her business with a strong competitive edge and Iâve personally heard those very qualities derided by people who would not and do not say the same thing about men. Also. The song is a pushback against the narratives and thinkpieces and twitter hashtags directed at her, not just a plea for her to be able to behave as badly as men are frequently âallowed toâ. âIâm so sick of them coming at me againâ she says. And I believe that sheâs tired!Â
2. The song still has Taylorâs trademark vulnerability and honesty and you know how I was talking about how Taylorâs songs always have a moment where the song breathes and pauses? In the song it happens after she sings âso itâs okay that Iâm mad.â The song takes a breath there because itâs the point of the song. She isnât fighting about the right to âbrag about raking in dollars and getting bitches and modelsâ necessarily (though she wonders what it would be like) but it IS about the right for her to be mad. And I quite like the simplicity and sweetness of the way she phrases it AND sings it. Itâs okay, she says. Itâs okay. Just let it be. Let ME be. Let me be mad.
And tbh yeah.Â
Also, full disclosure: when I first it I SCREAMED at the Leo reference. #savage !!!!! (Especially considering the fact that Taylor always got so much flak for being friends with models.)

I assume you are a powerful speaker with fabulous hair and a slightly scary, but commanding presence. Also I assume youâre tall(er than me at least).
Wow I do not deserve!
My hair only looks good in selfies, I do think I can be a bit scary, and I am 5â˛6âł. But Iâll take all the compliments :D
Innocence and instinct - RED (For he ask game!)
@darkeststar310 you are so overdue for this answer I donât know how to apologize, like ask me anything and I will give it to you!
Thank you for asking me about RED! I love them so much because they sing the darkest parts of the human soul and make it tangible and beautiful. Anyway, Iâm pretty sure with this ask game I was supposed to tell you my top three favorite songs from the album, but guess what? I DO WHAT I WANT. SO YOU GET MY TOP FOUR IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER
1. Fight Inside: Look, there are a few songs I turn to when I am writing a story or hunting for the perfect angsty song to ascribe to my favorite characters. One of these songs is Fight Inside. The inner war inside the mind, the whispered âItâs nothing, itâs everything,â every single contrastâŚso much pain, so much broken humanity
2. Mystery of You: This is one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE RED songs. There is pain here as well, the pain of the unknown, the lost, the longing. Like many of REDâs songs, this one breathes spiritual themes (at least in my mind) and so depending on what I am thinking about it can have so many different layers and levels. My favorite lines (Iâm lying I love every single line):  Â
âYou touch the deepest part of meThe places I could not saveJust tell me why Iâm so dark insideâ
That need to be understood, to be able to understand oneself, the idea that knowing and understanding might be a step to love and peaceâŚwhich it must be, because even with all our failings how can one TRULY know and understand oneself or another without loving them at least a little?
3. Never Be the Same: Yet another song that can be read on a spiritual or non-spiritual level. A song about being transformed by the love of someone, and how the love for that person will never die, no matter if that person is gone or cannot be felt. Maybe it is about two people who have loved one another and gone their separate ways, maybe it is about someone who has died, maybe it is about the relationship between God and a personâŚwhatever it is I love it
and
4. Forever: THIS IS MY FAVORITE RED SONG. MAYBE. IT IS AMAZING. THIS IS EVERYTHING. IT IS ABOUT LOVE AND PATIENCE AND FORGIVENESS AND AWE AT ALL OF THOSE THINGS. IT IS REUNION OF TWO BEINGS. IT IS THE PRODIGAL SON RETURNING TO THE FATHER. IT IS GOD SAVING THE SINNER. IT IS JOY AND WONDER AND DISBELIEF AND OH GOSH I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS
CAN I CHOOSE A FAVORITE LINE PROBABLY NOTÂ
I LOVE THE BRIDGE AND CHORUS THOUGH:
You gave me so much more Than I could ever ask for  But I turned and followedA road that left me hollowAnd still you waited for me to come back homeYou brought me homeâŚBut you chased me down and broke in just when I was done believing Spun me âround so close now I can feel you breathingSunlight burns inside and I feel so alive andHelp me now, tell me how How can this last forever, foreverÂ

QUESTIONS:
1) Colours you are wearing? 2)Last band t-shirt you bought? 3) Last band you saw live? 4) Last song you listened to? 5) Lipstick or chapstick? 6)Last movie you watched? 7) Last 3 TV Shows? 8) Last 3 characters you identified with? 9) Book youâre currently reading?
           ---------------------------------------------------------------------
                      INERT PENMAID:
1) Colour(s) Iâm currently wearing: A very complimentary ensemble consisting of green starry pyjama pants, unicorn socks and a stripy red crop-top. Vogue.
2) Last band t-shirt I bought: It was actually a very artistic Guns N Roses one.Â
3) Last band I saw live: Catfish and the Bottlemen  at Manchester Castlefield Bowl
4) Last song I listened to: It was either:
âAre You Done With Meâ by Delain, a dutch rock band I would highly reccommend for anyone into female fronted metal bands. Newer stuff is a little softer, older stuff is closer to operatic metal.
âDrawing A Blankâ by the now disbanded Cherri Bomb. They were an American punk all-girl rock band aged 13-17 that looked to be promising but some unidentified conflict meant they broke up. I was so envious of how talented they were at an early age when they first came out. They were so great! I actually was really looking forward to their music maturing with them! I like giving up-and-coming bands a chance.
5) Lipstick or Chapstick: Some situations demand one or the other! Not picking sides!Â
6) Last movie I watched: Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I was a little meh about the writing.
7) Last 3 TV shows I watched: The X Files (Iâm a newcomer on a binge), Friends and Sherlock.Â
8) Last 3 characters I identified with:Â
Sylvie Palot from Ken Follettâs A Column of FireÂ
Rory Gilmore of Gilmore Girls
Marnie from Sherryl Jordanâs âThe Raging Quietâ. And I think if more fangirls knew about Sherryl Jordanâs books there would be some serious online shipping going on. She establishes romance flawlessly, every time, but does not make it the central attention. She is actually a wonderful person: writes novels and works with those who are deaf or have learning difficulties, aspects which she addresses in many of her books. Her novels may be small but the messages they carry are always huge and encompassing.Â
9) Book Iâm currently reading: I find it really hard to stay monogamous when reading so I have three on the go!Â
The Name of the Wind, a fantasy by Patrick Rothfuss (would highly recommend so far, after a bit of ambivalence in the first chapter it really picked up, and his writing style is bloody beautiful).Â
Surface Detail by Iain M banks (also the author of the acclaimed âThe Wasp Factoryâ). This is the first science-fiction I have ever read and I must say the first chapter absolutely blew me away in the fashion that The Red Wedding for many watchers of Game of Thrones.Â
She-Wolves by Elizabeth Norton. A non-fiction historical account of Englandâs early queens. Rather good.Â
