Chris had texted Hayden about Sammy -- and while the man was worried (and rightfully so) he had agreed to meeting him. Maybe that’s what he needed, to see that Sammy wasn’t that bad. Alright, aside from the fact that he was trouble, but this entire city was trouble. Chris had decided on Gibson’s Bar and Steakhouse -- this way they could enjoy drinks and maybe even a good steak. Chris was nervous, the real reason he had chosen the place was because it was miles away from everyone else. At least in his opinion; It was the least problematic location he could think of, and he had been thinking about this a lot. This was new for Chris -- relationships that is. He was a man that didn’t do relationships, yet he couldn’t find himself wanting anyone other than Sammy. This is why it was important for Hayden to meet the man.
“You have to be on your best behavior, Hayden’s basically my brother so no talk about getting shot, fighting, gangs, drugs, or anything in between.” he instructed. Again, Chris never did this -- introduce the family to his hook-ups (well in this case significant other) and it was almost obvious. When he was worried he became bossy; He had texted Hayden the address and explained that he would be coming with Sammy.
Alright, now his mind was just going crazy while different thoughts were running around in his mind. He had to calm down; As they reached the destination, Chris quickly texted Hayden to let him know they were there. “Play nice.” he added before getting out of the car. This was going to be just fine.
