Daredevil Rewatch - Marvel's The Defenders (2017)
Rewatching daredevil and season 2 is so interesting because it starts with Matt and Karen both pretending to be who they’re not in front of each other while awkwardly trying to figure out how to date only for episode six to draw them apart immediately as they gravitate to others they can more easily be themselves with; Matt with Elektra and Karen with Frank.
Also episode six really showed us that Matt could have become a thief and cracked safes effortlessly but he chose a life of goodness and of morality and of helping the little person out of the goodness of his heart not to better himself selfishly at the expense of others

On my nth rewatch of Daredevil S1E1, and yeah, this is still the GOAT pilot ever released, zero fluff, all gut-punch. No tidy villain drop; instead, those rooftop gang leaders bicker in the shadows, mumbling threats, oblivious as Fisk's hulking silhouette descends like judgment, methodically slicing every loose end. The ending? Pure dread, no hero strut, just a promise of unrelenting hell
Writers Drew Goddard and Steven S. DeKnight straight-up dared us: buckle up for the ride of your life. Director Phil Abraham crushed it, but shoutout to DP Matthew J. Lloyd and the lighting team man they went feral to make Hell's Kitchen a throbbing nightmare.
Almost forgot how great that first hallway fight in s1e2 is, completely forgot Matt did it with multiple broken ribs and a stab wound.
