every night, he would appear at your window unannounced, because he loves to give you little scares and doesn't like to show up at your door and have to wait until you get there and finally open it for him, eager to see your face, your beautiful face.

even though he refuses to admit it, he loves being at your mercy. in the middle of the night, when vulnerabilities slowly reveal themselves, he finds himself craving your touch and your comfort.

taking off both your clothes isn't always about sex. it's that he simply needs the contact, to truly feel you, to trace every part of your body, to press his lips to your knuckles as if you were something sacred. and in return, you do exactly the same, letting your index finger trace his cheek and the scar there. letting the tips of your fingers trace the large scar on his back, daredevil's work, or rather, the disaster that he made. something so painful, so sickening, something that should have sent dex six feet under. but no, he survived, and him being alive brought you to him.

every night he wishes you would never turn your back on him like everyone else did to him. every night while he sleeps, he holds you tighter than he should, as if his subconscious is deceiving him and this is his way of making sure you're still with him.

and he loves you, he will love you forever. In his own way, in a way that is uniquely his. no harm will touch you, you have his protection forever.
