I think I didn't post about Cool Sounds "Bystander" because it sold out so quickly. And while I'm stoked to own a copy, you can find reasonable prices on Discogs. They have a groove and sound that is hard to pinpoint - sometimes I think of Australia, and at other times I think of Sufjan Stevens.

I'm rearranging my records in order to file the numerous albums I bought last year, and I uncovered a treasure trove of releases from Osborne Again. While purchasing Pop Filter, Lachlan Denton (The Ocean Party, Pop Filter, director of Osborne Again) was nice enough to include a couple of Cool Sounds LPs as well as Dannika and the Snowy Band.

Evan Wright is from New York and his Bandcamp page states that his new album "Sound From Out The Window" is "a shimmering collection of country-tinged indie psychedelia."

This is right up my alley. I hear Elliott Smith, Beachwood Sparks, Dick Stusso, and Chris Cohen. Yet, as with all great music, this is completely its own sound.

Yeah, I really respect that kind of engagement, especially when it comes to YA, which is often mocked. But I mean, that only shows professionalism, especially in comparison with RPat. And I can respect that. I think a good professional (actor or otherwise) can always find something worthy of exploring or bringing to life when at work. And enthusiasm shows - so does half-assing it.

Hope y'all have a Merry Chrimbus! More 'n likely it'll be better than these two's.

Sabine got to be Santa because her voice was actually more intimidating than Richter's, not to mention Ricky looks like a Rankin-Bass elf.
