The first act, Diana interacts with Gave so much that you start to feel that you know him.

It is only when Diana begs Dan for his name that I realized I didn’t know if either. It felt like a KNEW this kid but I didn’t even know his name — even as it felt in the tip of my tongue.

Gabe is a ‘mystery’ to us, the audience, and we never truly get to know him because there isn’t really a person to /know/. The only things we ever truly know about Gabriel are his names, that he was a fussy baby soothed by a music box, and that he /died/.

Like I imagine he's still the administrator so he gets all of Cam's freaky requests (per Hodgins and Brennan of course) and he just sighs because he knows they'll get it one way or another so he might as well sign off

GFHDFS i love to imagine this- though i always joke that his so-called sabbatical in s2 was actually just . eleven years long . and he comes back right after s12 and is like . what the ACTUAL FUCK HAPPENED HERE . HJSDHKJFLKS ????? completely unrealistic but so incredibly funny .

i like to imagine him getting increasingly confused about the bizarre requests coming from the lab though . like . okay hodgins keeps ordering new machines . hey why does he need watermelons and so many explosives . why is he asking for watermelons and explosives a SECOND TIME . hey why does that new intern need ,,, 80 pounds of pineapple . cam dear god why the FUCK do you need so many sausages and ,,,,,,, a sealed heat-safe box ,,,,,,,
