And big surprise, no real contingencies arose until the middle of the Goron Mines. I can leave mostly everything alone (just tweak things to fit my own format) from when Link gets the first Fused Shadow to the second piece, except for this part.

So, I can understand goat wrangling. After all, that's what he does for a living. I can believe he can swing a fairly large sword with one hand, and that he can gain control of an out of control monster horse. Hell, I can even believe that, with the help of some cheating in the form of the iron boots, he can wrangle near-human-sized gorons and sumo wrestle with them.

But this is just goddamn ridiculous!

The Iron Boots don't give you superhuman strength! They just make you really heavy! Which presents an issue in and of itself!

Link, explain to me just how in the hell you can grab a Goron the SIZE OF A HOUSE and THROW IT into a POOL OF LAVA. I... I can't even. They're made of rocks. You're essentially tossing a boulder. No. Just no. Stop being impossibly strong, you have the Triforce of Courage for Farore's sake, not the Triforce of Power.

... And really you should've been dead from the lava and poisonous volcanic fumes hours ago, but whatever.

So yeah. As totally awesome as this fight was, there is no way in hell the Strongest Link Ever is THAT strong. Which simply means that I'm going to add some sort of strength-enhancing relic alongside the Iron Boots. And later on when he gains the trust of the Gorons (through cheating!) he'll be given a Fire tunic. That would actually tie everything up even more with the Ancient Hero (Hero's Shade/Hero of Time/OoT Link)... pretty much start causing a crisis here by giving Groucho all of the old hero's gear. I mean he's pretty much there to finish the job that OoT Link couldn't, and with all of the other references to an ancient hero, it wouldn't hurt to have more relics from that era. And also give more crap for Groucho to sulk over. Being shoehorned into the old hero's shoes (literally!) is gonna stress him the hell out, haha.

Hmm... or maybe the increased strength comes from the 'ol green tunic itself. Like maybe it also came with the Golden Gauntlets. And then I can lampshade the hell out of it with him being dumbfounded by his own supernatural strength, haha.

I'm essentially de-powering Link at this point. He's still stupidly strong, just... just not THAT stupidly strong.
