Summary:

WATER GLASS: The entire world is loneliness. We are only ever alone. ELECTROCHEMISTRY: The yellow pills lay in the center of your cupped palm. VOLITION: Harry - there are so many reasons you should not be doing this - YOU: You take the pills.

For the Dancin’ Nasty prompt #1, hurt/comfort.

YOU: It is November.

HALF LIGHT: The worst month of all - the one where you start to feel yourself slipping, and you still think you have the power to stop it. When you tell yourself that it’s just for tonight, just for this weekend, just until this case is over.

VOLITION: But it never is, is it?

PAIN THRESHOLD: Each day, when you come in, nose red from the cold and breathing white fog, Jean Vicquemare watches you sharply from across the precinct.

ESPRIT DE CORPS: They all do. Tensions are rising. Even Kim Kitsuragi keeps his eye on you a little longer, calls you a little more frequently.

PAIN THRESHOLD: That hurts worst of all.

VOLITION: You slip up once, and fix it. Twice, then fix it. Three times - but this is nothing new.

HALF LIGHT: You’ve been slipping up your entire existence. You’ll slip yourself into the grave.

YOU: In early November, though, you really fuck up. You take something you shouldn’t have.
