A kind British man from Boston kindly showed me where the conference building was. I got my badge etc. and after about an hour of aimless wandering, ran into some Central PE guys that I know. I got lunch with them and ran into Melissa, Leia, Kaitlyn, and Colleen at Panera Bread. The PE guys left to go to a class and I went back to the hotel with the ladies. We got ready for the National Dance Association Social, which we were told was semi formal and very important, and walked from our hotel to the Westin. It was in a tiny room with only 4 tables and $15 glasses of wine. There was a high school group that performed a modern dance that included girl-on-girl partnering, stage fighting, and yelling.

We left after the performance because almost everyone was in heels and didn't want to stand anymore. We went back to the hotel and changed out clothes again and then wandered around Charlotte looking for a place to eat. April, Kristen, T-bird, and Kara disappeared so the rest of us went and got food.

We ran into Theresa on the way back and walked with her and the other professors back near the hotel to get Fro-yo. The other four girls showed up to tell us there was a mechanical bull and then promptly left to get pizza. We came back to the hotel and everyone else went to the bar to see the live entertainment.
