So what if, once he started to really get to know Jon and got kind of attached to him, he started thinking about contingency plans to protect him, as well?

So he creates this device that, during the day, it absorbs the rays of the sun. Then, once activated, it can release that solar energy almost like a diffuser releases essential oils? The idea being, this device can empower a powered-down Kryptonian.

Except Damian wouldn't tell anyone about this device. It would be an extremely closely guarded secret of his - unless and until he might need mechanical help. But when would he ever admit that? Also, it's not an emergency that this thing be up and running as soon as he came up with the idea. It's a "just in case." Anyway, here's the prototype, and Damian has it hidden in a location that no one would think to look, and even if they did, they would still need him (alive) in order to access it.

honestly, if you were to walk in on these two, 80% of the time you’d see minji riding dami while sucking on her fingers. usually it’s her thigh, but sometimes if they’re both super horny, she’ll ride her face. the other times, dami’s fingering her while eating her out, usually from behind, and sometimes against a wall.

That part of him that is still just a child wishes and hopes that they will change, that they will treat him better, that Bruce and Talia might get together, that Bruce and Talia might love each other and get married and they could be a real family. But, logically, he knows that's not going to happen. It doesn't stop him from having the occasional day/dream. It also doesn't stop him from having his heart broken again every time Talia shows him just how wrong he is.

In the end, Damian is just a kid, and he can't understand why Bruce and Talia can't just make it work. Which makes it even more painful when she betrays him.

When he has nightmares about the time he died at the hand of his clone, the part that scares him the most is that the clone was created by his mother. That the clone was created to be a better version of him. That the clone loves his mother just as much as he does.
