Anways, decided to go a silly route for this based after that short story Scott(?) wrote with Alek in a dress but with a twist. Plus it was a way to finally use this photo ref I've been meaning to use for ages.

Hello Leviathan fandom! This is the announcement for our Dalek Week 2022, hosted by the Leviathan Discord server! After polling with our members, we've decided on Sunday, September 18th through Saturday, September 24th for this year's Dalek Week! The prompts are as follows:

Day 1 - 9/18: Alternate Reality Day 2 - 9/19: Tomfoolery Day 3 - 9/20: "There is no flag enough to cover the shame of killing people." Day 4 - 9/21: Doctor Who (it's high time we flooded THEIR tags!) Day 5 - 9/22: Undercover! Day 6 - 9/23: Pokémon Day 7 - 9/24: "Be careful."

so this is part of my ill-fated attempt at the Dalek ship week last year--i intended to put a fair bit of work in at it, and then midterms happened. It's also not the entire thing but I'd like to see about maybe publishing it by the end of the school year 😂😂

('Dalek' so called because the ship is Deryn/Alek and the fandom decided to collectively flood the dr who tag for a change instead of the other way around XD)

Of all the things Deryn had been expecting to see in the Royal Zoological Society’s main side garden (right where she and Alek tended to take lunch, (and where was he, anyway?)) a blue box that said ‘Police’ was *definitely* not one of them. 

She absolutely was not expecting for the door to open and disgorge a man in a fez and…a bow tie?

“Hello London!” He said in a maddeningly generic English accent, then squinted at Deryn. “This *is* London, right? The TARDIS has a mind of its own, you know, sometimes, I never quite know where it’s going to put me.”

“Aye, it’s London you’re in,” she said slowly, and he clapped his hands together.

“Excellent! Excellent. Well, I say it doesn’t quite look like any version of London I’ve ever visited, but then I suppose things do change on occasion. What year is it, do you know, lad?”

Deryn looked briefly down at herself, remembered that she’d dressed on the more masculine side of things today, and coughed to cover the pause. “1915, sir.”

He wrung his hands. “Blimey. Not quite when I’d meant to land, that. Oh well, I suppose since I’m here I might as well have a look around, yeah? What’s your name?”

“Dylan,” she said, only barely parsing the words he'd said. “What’s yours?” 

He reached into his jacket and produced a billfold. “You can just call me The Doctor,” he said, presenting the credentials to her. “Trust me, I’m a responsible adult.”

It… seemed blank? “Doctor who?” 

He pulled the billfold back, looked at it, shook it a time or two, then shook his head. “Knew I shouldn’t have tried that one again,” he muttered. “Just The Doctor will do for now. Where are we, exactly?”

To add some joy into the dumpster fire that is 2020, the Leviathan Discord decided to bring back Dalek Week! You can draw fanart, write fanfic, make cosplay tiktoks, edit aesthetic boards, write songs, bake cakes, whatever medium your creative heart desires. It’ll be fun!
