The stagger back to camp felt like forever. The relief when they finally reached the thorny entrance nearly made Foxpaw collapse. The apprentice rushed the two further into the camp, almost tripping both of them in her urgency.

"Mousefeather! Mousefeather, help!" Foxpaw yowled.

The beckoned molly stuck her head out of the sunlog. Her expression quickly twisted in panic. She ran out from the den, swiftly wedging between the two to take Foxpaw's place as support. She ushered the deputy into the den, muttering to both herself and Daisyreed. Foxpaw could only make out the names of herbs. The last thing she caught before the vines covered the sunlog was Mousefeather calling out for Conkerpaw to bring her the marigold and cobwebs. Foxpaw stared off, her hackles finally going down completely. She wobbled on her hurt paw.

By this point, the rest of camp had been stirred from their tasks. Brackenstar and Nettlepaw had ran up to her.

"Foxpaw! Are you alright? What happened?" Brackenstar stammered in concern.

"We.. we ran into a celste." Foxpaw mumbled blankly. Brackestar's ears perked up, and her gaze becoming more intense. The leader circled around the apprentice, scanning her for any injuries. She noticed Foxpaw keeping weight off of her paw.

"Nevermind the questions," Brackenstar mewed. "Let's get you laid down."

Brackenstar lead the dazed apprentice to her nest. Foxpaw collapsed into the spongy moss, curling up on the opposite side of her injured paw. She heard Brackenstar and Nettlepaw talking around her, but the call of sleep was already quickly pulling her. Her eyes fluttered. The last discernable thing she felt was the brush of fur curled around her, and the comforting scent of Barleyleaf filling her chest. She snuggled into their fur, their warmth finally making her drift off.
