The character design of this girl still pisses me off. The boy looks a bit better, but is a shit brat, so I’d gladly bully both.

HAHA WOMEN BEING VIOLENT WITH MEN IS THE FUNNIEST JOKE TOP KEK You see it’s because women are weak and incapable so there’s no way they could really hurt any man, especially if they’re as small as Rukia! They can only funnily slap, just like women do! Even throwing desks like Tatsuki is never harmful! Haha, women are adorable!

Also: creepy faces. Everyone in this anime is making creepy face at some point and mostly I’m not sure what do they mean? Okay, in this case they want us to feel spooked, I wonder if it would have worked if I didn’t know what happens next…

I really liked the cinematic direction in this episode, for the first time in the series. The tilted camera angles and shot composition maybe weren’t the best ever, but I enjoyed them. It probably helps that this episode has almost no comedy, and no manzai, which usually gets silly faces and colourful backgrounds. I wish the video quality was better, I also still really like the music.

Aw yeah, Chad throwing Rukia, from now on I ship this. Because why not.

It was really stupid that the hollow described his story to Ichigo, and OF COURSE he used to be as unredeemable human as he is now a hollow. So we won’t feel sad for a psychopatic serial killer that hurts a little child’s soul even after his death. Good thing Ichigo is sensitive on the topic of moms and will take care of this bad man and senh him straight to hell!

Also, Rukia being cute and then reasonable, some dumb background kids being dumb, one of them is FukuJun even. A long TL note before the episode, it’s not as outrageous as those lengthy explanations of every pun before Ebichu, but still a sign of that era.
