I'm sorry to bother but what does it mean when you put in your tags something like 'got for ts'
Hi! GOT is an acronym for Game of Thrones, and “for ts” means “for tumblr savior”. Tumblr savior is a blacklisting tool by xkit so you don’t have to see anything you don’t like on your dashboard, assuming the people you follow tag things appropriately. If you aren’t using xkit, it’s something I strongly recommend.
I consider myself to be in the ASOIAF fandom rather than the show fandom (cuz I don’t particularly like the show), and a lot of my friends really don’t like the show, so tags like “#got for ts” give everyone a way to avoid having to see the show on their dashboard.
I am someone who really likes to read her dash, so I want to hear about what a M*rvel Bran is at all the S*pernatural aspects of ASOIAF and I want to read discussions evaluating the pol*tics and Re*gn of this or that Targ king, or what The Cr*wn Aerys wore looked like, and I want to know about the similarities between the ironborn and V*kings or how women in Westeros are shamed as Harl*ts for expressing themselves sexually, or speculation about what Dany’s Tr*mp card will be in the WftD. And I like to know when my Fr*ends on this website L*st something important to them or even just knowing if they GOT a haircut. And I sure hope none of y’all are making lists about Th* 1oo Reasons Why ASOIAF is fabulous, cuz I’m definitely not seeing those on my dash.
So I am one of the people who thinks it is polite to give people an easy way to blacklist all of these fandoms that are one word or one phrase or w/e. “GOT” alone isn’t blacklistable, and “Game of Thrones” is unfortunately a large part of the title A Game of Thrones. And like, anybody who doesn’t want to see Hulu’s Harlots gifs on their dash can just tumblr savior #harlots for ts and they know they won’t be missing out on anything from me.
