daeyeons
the younger scoffed, setting his chin on the palm of his hand. âiâm going to keep my chin down, thank you very much.â
it wasnât surprising to anyone to see daeyeon to be this dramatic after not getting a role. and it was not an uncommon occurrence either. although daeyeon was balancing college and participating in college and community productions, he still went the extra mile and auditioned for some small parts in dramas. most of the time, including this time, he was never given a part.
âin the wise words of our lord and saviour, from the greatest song of 2010 â i will quote eminem; ânext time? there wonât be a next time.â i give up.â
he could say that, but in the end, it was never true. after a few days, his motivation would come back â he was in a never ending cycle of trying over and over again. this was one of the few things that daeyeon could never give up on. with anything else, dae would easily drop it if an obstacle got in his way. but not with acting, not with making it big. he would never give up on that.
âwhy am i never good enough for tv? maybe iâm just destined to be on little community stages, and not the big screenâŠâ
Crescents halving in size as he gazed upon the other, Soft facial features paired with a strong expression were always synonyms that seemed to be within the vocabulary of Daeyeon himself, THEÂ daeyeon of course. Xzavier's own lips curled as he let a soft snicker rumble through his core as he watched the other fire off and seemingly fume-- left , right-- When was he going to calm down just a little so that He could get a word in? Xav had learned well by now that instead of trying interrupt it was always best to let the other blow off steam and simply listen to him until he was thinking clearly again--And he knew he shouldn't find it humorous but Daeyeon was like a little brother to him. . . A little brother who threw a temper tantrum when things didn't go his way and needed reassurance on them; But he knew this brother well and how to deal with him (for the most part).
It wasn't like Daeyeon was a bad actor . . In fact, He was probably a great one in his eyes, not to mention how overly dramatic he was (case and point currently), he fell right into place with most characters that he went for-- but that didn't mean you were always promised the exact role you were expecting. . . And most of the time ?Â
Sure, he did get what he wanted (or so he thought from what he saw) But, it made sense that certain things were going to be a softer wound versus a deeper one depending on the circumstances of the case by case scenario-- and this time it was obviously something that made a deeper more prominent wound in the younger with an obviousness at how upset he was about it; he'd been going off for what seemed like forever and normally on his rants like these he would only last up to a short amount of time. . . and maybe he should have been counting just for a snarky opportunity? A comic relief? But he thought about this too late into the subject to be able to do so , So of course, He tossed that idea in general from his mind.
Xzavier's chin was rested into the dip and curvature of his palm as he watched over him--seeing a nearing chance for him to talk, and taking this opportunity. "Hm, well . . . Have you ever thought that maybe it's not so much that you're lacking but maybe the opportunity you're looking at just isn't for you?" He question-- His own eyes had fallen to a book in front of him; Natsuo Kirino, Possibly his favourite author at the time, a horror themed novelist.
"Watch, You'll look it up after its released and find out that film did badly, a waste of your time." Sharp eyes following along the words across the page and taking in its contents but also still keeping his ear open for the other-- He mostly pretended like he wasn't listening just to be the difficult guy that he was. "You'll find a film one day and you may or may not get the person you want-- but you'll get in it. Everyone has to start from somewhere, so don't belittle all the experiences you've had up till now." He spoke trying to cheer the other up with soft words. "Besides, it looks good on your record to have a lot under your belt in any situation, does it not?" This time his eyes rose from the book as his finger turned the page with a crisp sound that he enjoyed a bit too much reaching his ears. " whatever it is, -- Community stage, auditions, Television, Movies, Whatever--?? Use it as a learning opportunity and grow better, get stronger. Crush your competition."
