Pain seems to effect them both, in different ways really, V with his physical pain and Johnny with both the pain and the glitching in and out of existance. V asks to take a walk and Johnny scoffs - like a walk will help either of their goddamn problems. They need to stop fucking around and figure out a way to save V, preferably with him alive too. 

Finding a meeting place sometimes proved difficult to Bryce. People knew his face after all. And he preferred to not invite strangers into his apartment, or visit them in theirs. Trust was something few people earned in this city, and none from the get go. Even though the man he was meeting had been recommended by one of the few people that held Bryce’s trust. Regina Jones, an ex-media he had once looked up to. And now helped him quite often.

In the end, he went for the maybe overdone, but classic option. The Afterlife. While mercs had a tendency to be as bad at gossiping as 12-year-old corpo kids with the eternal boredom that came with too much privilege; few ever left the Afterlife. And most likely they’d talk more about his next business partner than him. 

He was sitting on a table in one of the more private corners, simply because it was easier to talk there. He was reading when the awaited guest stepped up to his table, and Bryce looked up, smile on his lips as he put tablet away.

He leans back against the bar, arms sprawled out comfortably with a coy grin on his face, and blood dripping from his lower lip. No one said getting SOCKED in the face was a fun experience, but everything was easier when you were shit faced on MIDORI AND ABSINTHE in the same glass.

“That all ya got pal–––cuz my SIS hits harder than you fuckin’ do.”

Of course, THAT was a high bar to set given that Vera was a TOUGH girl to begin with. Small she may be, FIERCE she definitely was. He tries to keep bystanders out of the way, craning his head back for a sec before raising his index finger.

How blissful ignorance is, when you are unaware that the man who saved the orphanage you worked hard to keep on running, is dying. Kieran had a warm smile as he sits on the vacant chair, his metal hands gently clinking against the coffee cup he held. Hands that the Scavs had brutally cut off when they first came, as a threat and warning if he didn’t let them use the grounds as a covert highway for smuggling drugs. He doesn’t need to worry about it anymore, with V’s help.

If someone wants to try to explain to me how I can make decisions like nothing in real life, but reek absolute chaos when I try to do the same in a video game, please feel free. ‘Cause frankly, I’m at a total loss.
