Author’s Note: I still hate him -_-
Once the initial discomfort of their first few times together had faded into something else, something better, a fiery spark lit itself inside her that she hadn’t even known existed.
She gasped for air, lungs burning, skin slick with sweat. Her body trembled and her limbs tensed. The meaning of pleasure she thought she knew, was redefined in a way she hadn’t at all prepared herself for.
She clawed at his duvet, all but screaming as she reveled in the feral way this man was tearing into her. She threw her hips back to meet his, quick and hard, unable to satiate the intensity growing between her thighs.
King Jeon grunted and panted behind her, gripping her hips so hard that she was sure his dull nails were cutting into her skin. She pushed past the pain, choosing to ignore the sting in her skin as he moved a hand to yank harshly on her ponytail, tugging the holder from her hair.
Her hair fell around her face and she let her head drop, squeezing her eyes tight as her chin hit her chest. “K-Ki-King J-Jeon…” She struggled to call his name as he pulled out of her suddenly, pushing her body down flat before turning her over.
She looked down her body at him, chest heaving. He was on his knees, hand working furiously against his slick length, eyes trained on her. Muscles taut, a thin layer of sweat glistening on his skin. In short, he was glorious.
His gaze was steady, burning her from the inside out. Without so much as thinking about it, her hands moved on their own. One to part her folds, the other to rub tight circles into her clit, keeping time with King Jeon’s rhythm on himself.
He shuffled closer to her, nudging her legs further apart. Supporting his weight on one arm, he leaned over her, body jerking still as his release hit her stomach. His eyelids fluttered shut, and he breathed shakily.
She orgasmed shortly after, toes curling into the covers. “Jesus.” She murmured, eyes closing. King Jeon climbed over her, slowly letting himself down off of his high-rise bed. _________ couldn’t help but admire his back as he walked himself to his bathroom to no doubt, wash his hands. When he returned to her, his body was hidden under one of his various thick, expensive-looking robes. “Get washed up for breakfast.” He ordered. _________ ignored the beginnings of the disappointment she felt when he cold-shouldered her after having his way with her.
She slid from his bed and haphazardly threw on her own robe, feeling every bit of gross as she closed it on top of the bit of cum drying on her stomach. “Yes, sir.” She whispered, dropping her gaze from his as she left his bed chamber.
“Marta!” She yelled for her head maiden, fighting back the tears welling up in her eyes as she neared her room. Marta rushed to her, eyes filled with concern. “Yes, Your Highness?” ________ wiped away a stray tear and squared her shoulders before answering. “I need to get ready for breakfast.”
Marta nodded and ushered her into her expansive bathroom and drew a bath.
Once she was settled into the citrus-scented water, she closed her eyes and leaned against the back of the tub. “Marta…”
“Yes, Your Highness?”
“Is there anything that pleases the king?”
“I-I….don’t know, Your Highness.” __________’s eyes opened and she stared at the impressive ceiling of her bathroom. There was gold detail painted into a beautiful picture of what she assumed the artist envisioned The Goddess to be. The Goddess Syss stood above the clouds, arms open and a magnificent light shining about her. No matter how many times she looked at this painting, it left her in awe every time.
Marta dutifully scrubbed every inch of her body in silence, despite her multiple protests. __________ had reminded Marta countless times that she could indeed wash herself, but it clearly didn’t matter in any way. Marta scrubbed her from head to toe, every day. Four times a day according to King Jeon’s orders.
“Marta..”
“Yes, Your Highness?”
“Did you ever think that serving royalty wasn’t something that you wanted to do with your life?”
Marta’s pursuit of her cleanliness paused for only the tiniest of moments before resuming as if she hadn’t been affected by the question at all. “Of course not, Your Highness. This is my duty to my kingdom.”
Duty. _________ wasn’t sure what hers was anymore. Yes, she married King Jeon to save her own kingdom from ruin, but what was her duty, really? What was she supposed to do for her people? Was her arrangement enough to help them?
Was King Jeon keeping good on his word? She didn’t know the ins and outs of her contract and what their marriage really meant, but she prayed to Syss daily that she made the right decision.
Marta walked in quick, purposeful steps toward the dining room designated for breakfast only. Even though she sort of knew her way around to the places she frequented, per the king’s orders, she wasn’t allowed to walk the palace alone. She had to be accompanied by Marta at all times.
__________ wondered if it was because he didn’t trust her around his home, or if he was afraid she’d run. As if she would do such a thing. Not with the livelihood of her kingdom on the line.
Marta pushed on the heavy doors that opened up into the dining room, leading _____________ to her seat at the end of the table opposite King Jeon. There were exactly twelve chairs and six center pieces between the two of them -she counted.
There were no protests from her about the distance between them. The further away she was, the better. She didn’t like seeing his face outside of the bedroom. He always looked as if he hated her and the fact that she was living with him.
Of course, when the king had said those words to her that day, he was talking about being able to fill her with himself on a daily basis. He didn’t love her, nor did she love him. She reminded herself that this was a business deal and nothing more. Besides, her heart still squeezed at the thought of the stable boy she had to leave behind.
“Your father has arranged a meeting with you this morning.” King Jeon’s carried over to her in the all but empty room. ____________’s heart seized. She hadn’t realized that she missed her father that much, but hearing that he was coming to see her made a lump form in her throat.
She chose to not say anything, quietly munching on the eggs she’d put into her mouth. There was no use showing any sort of emotion around King Jeon. He’d find some way to ruin that feeling later.
“Did you hear me?” He asked after moments without a reply from her. “Yes, anything else on my schedule?” She asked evenly. She heard his silverware clink against his plate and a shuffle of clothing. “I don’t appreciate the attitude.”
“There’s no attitude, my king.” She responded in a highly sarcastic tone. His chair scraped against the floor and she watched him angrily stalk his way down the long table to her. __________ looked up at him, bored with his show of assertiveness.
Him thinking that he could intimidate her into submission had gotten old very quickly. He slammed his hand down on the table, but she didn’t flinch away from him. Not this time. She really was exhausted with all the demands and how he treated her.
“Yes?” She asked, looking up at him defiantly.
“You will show me some respect.” He seethed. She cackled, leaning back in her chair, crossing her arms. “And why should I do that?” She laughed again, shaking her head, “You haven’t been very nice to me.”
“I don’t have to be nice to you. I. AM. KING.” He bellowed, slamming his fists down on the table to further drive home his point. She scoffed a short laugh, “Some king.” She mumbled inaudibly.
__________ knew in the depths of her heart, that there was no way that Syss would truly ordain such a marriage. This man was a monster and clearly had no regard for anyone but himself. He was selfish and narcissistic and it grated on her nerves. There had to be some sort of way she could knock him from his pedestal, but until she figured out what that was, she was going to have to go back to playing nice.
Straightening her back, she gently placed her hands on the table and blinked up at him innocently. “My apologies, my king.” She apologized, hoping she sounded sweet enough. He narrowed his eyes at her, but moved away.
He retreated to his end of the table and sat down heavily, picking back up his utensils. “I’m cancelling your meeting with your father.”
__________ made no moves, frozen in anger. “You’ll spend the rest of the day in your room. No meals.” No meals?! Had this man lost his mind? No food for her was like being deprived of air. Marta materialized by her side, picking up her half-empty plate. She tried to push Marta’s hands away, refusing to let go.
“Please, Your Highness.” Marta pleaded quietly, snatching the plate away from her finally. __________ sulked in her chair, shooting a look of death in King Jeon’s direction.
Sure. He was angry with her for stepping out of line, but for him to lock her in her room like she was some sort of child that needed reprimanding was too much. Pissed off, she pushed her chair away from the table and stomped off to her room.
Slamming the door, she threw her body into her bed. There was no TV, no computer, no phone. She was stuck looking at her walls, or out of the window and slip slowly into madness.
Being locked in her room was going to be hell.
