In this story board I want to represent the fact that Icarus, when exposed to the sun, melts its wings. It seemed to me a very relevant part of this story and for that reason I wanted to represent it for this project. I was thinking that I could represent him with a scene where it is evident that the sun represents a threat to him and at the same time Icarus does not care and leaves to fly in broad daylight, and to represent that ´´disadvantage´´ I wanted to represent that fact with a fall to the sea (description #6).  This story board is not very clear, and at the same time I felt it was very long for 30sec video. So after the tutorials I was more clear about how I could make a better story board (see Story board # 2)

As it is a fairly short video, I wanted to summarize one of the most relevant parts of this story. And with this last story board I started producing my video. From my point of view, those scenes were perfect for a short and precise video, it shows exactly was I meant from the beginning (see story board #1 description). I just needed to adjust some good transition effect between each scenes, and a good play music.  

Icarus heeds his father's advice for a bit, but then he gets cocky. He's having so much fun flying that he forgets the warning and flies too close to the sun. Sure enough, his wings melt, and Icarus plummets into the sea and drowns. Daedalus is (of course) devastated by his son's death, but the show must go on. He flies on to Sicily, where he mourns Icarus and builds a temple in honor of the god Apollo.

Icarus was the son of Daedalusm one of King Minos’ servants. Daedalus came up with a plan for his son to escape the Labyrinth, by air. Daedalus, being inventive and clever, created giant wings made of osier and wax. He taught his son how to fly but warned him to keep away from the sun because the wax would melt and the wings would fall apart. They both managed to escape the Labyrinth safely. This was the first time in Greek mythological history that man had been able to defy the laws of physics and defy gravity. However, Icarus became too excited about flying and flew high to salute the sun and then dove back down towards the sea and back again. One day he flew too high, and as his father had said, the wings melted and Icarus fell into the sea and drowned. The Icarian sea was named after him in honor of his death.
