I spent way too much money on poppers, and sparklers, and smoke balls yesterday. I'll have to suffer the consequences of that soon enough.

But I also schooled my daughters on the fine art of Sparkler Dancing, and there is no price tag for that. The knowledge...the memories...they are priceless. As they grow up, I hope they'll know or remember nothing of my financial ups and downs. Instead, I want them to remember the flashes of color, the smells of charcoal and sulfur, and the belly laughs as we danced ourselves dizzy under the setting Springfield sun.
