jensen’s birthday post for the twins broke me 🥲
I’m watching Jensen’s solo panel and hearing him talk about always being there for his kids reminds me so much of the rule my parents had for us. And it’s not don’t stay up, don’t sneak out (well we weren’t allowed to but it wasn’t punished in any way). No the most important rule was never ever get into a car when the driver had been drinking. We will always pick you up no matter where and when and in whatever state. No matter the time, you call and we will get you home safe. Just never ever get into a car when the driver had a drink.
And I am German so, we are allowed to drink soft alcohol (beer,wine) at the age of 16 and liquor at the age of 18 when we also get our drivers license, if you take the tests.
And it was always true. They picked up my brother because he fell asleep drunk in a train at 5 am and drove 2h one way. And I once had to leave my own car at the location because the 0‰ beer I bought wasn’t 0‰. And it was never even a question. If they had a drink themselves in the evening, they asked our grandpa or friends.
And I really feel like Jensen would be such a Dad. No questions asked. If JJ called at 4 am after sneaking out and was like „Daddy, I‘m at … and my friend who drove us had a few drinks themselves and I don’t wanna drive home with them“ he‘d jump in his car in his pjs and pick her up, NO QUESTIONS asked. And the only one who would get talked down that night was the friend who said they’d drive. Same would obviously apply to Arrow and Zeppelin obviously.

Just thinking about how Jensen saying that being home, and being with his kids is his version of Heaven. Even with how much his little ones are growing, one things will always stand the test of time: photos of him and all his babies are the CUTEST.
With quarantine, this has probably the longest he’s been home for awhile. No conventions, no flying to Vancouver or LA for work things and meetings. Bless 🙏
