I just love the Charlie Scene verse there, it's the one included in the picture-- I'm sorry I am cringe but 'so many selfish phobias like self-inflicted loneliness' is SO VEGA and just SO some of my characters I cann't Vega is a character kinda born from my experiences few years ago and while I got meds to help me she stayed somewhat in that depression state (at least, for the first part of the story. there's character development to be had) so it's somewhat easy and interest to write and reflect about! Vega has a pretty good job and lives in a megapolis (well, most of main office workers do,, those who don't have family esp, as you usually can't get more than a two-room apartment there) but her little apartment got transformed into a mancave and this was tried to be conveyed in this art also /lh Vega's first chapters are just seeing everything gray and not caring about shit. But then, they get dragged out on a travelling mission and they have to try and do something about it all due to sudden change of scenery And oh well They will be trying-

Like here are the two minor characters of the first arc of the Aspects story, so called Anthora arc: Asirfero-Aere (he/they) & Kyoko (they/them)! Anthora is a rich artificial city that collects the big figures from all over the universe. It's a capitalism heaven (although capitalism isn't the world-wide-spread system in the Aspects universe, but it has its centres on some planets) - and so many people who got rich on their home planet are often looking to get to Anthora for new connections. So, these two are kinda part of the whole sceme. Kyoko is one of the main Anthora sponsors, and therefore a very honorable guest for Anzora. They were born into a family that once owned a huge monopoly, which was agreed to be transfered to the order of the Intergalactic Union, but only with special conditions that provided Kyoko's family with a giant amount of generational wealth (absolutely unfavorable deal for the Union, but they really strive at all costs to avoid monopolizing important resources on their territory). So Kyoko decided to invest their assets in an apartment in a beautiful city and organize some buisness and elite parties there… And yes, they do do business sometimes, but they are oh so lazy about it... Eere is an economist, head of one of the major centers of the Intergalactic Freelance Network; this is not exactly a very privileged position, but somewhat authoritative, so it opened many doors for them. They arrived to Anthora in order to make a certain local deal with a business that Kyoko is associated with. But after meeting them, he was so fascinated by them, so he completely lost his cool. To put it simply, Aere has a giant crush on Kyoko. Now he cannot bring himself to put pressure on them and force them to complete the deal— and they are pretty nonchalant about not urgent business. Perhaps the events of the Anthora arc could help Aere in moving forward... In one way or another 👁️

So I sometimes give up and give in to the general media's pursuit to just couple two blorbos and draw moments when they are being cool together... So it might have created the notion that Vega and Eli have always been close or *gasp * romantic even but in reality it's not really how they engage with each other This story is about people who struggle to connect Like, generally Some can't connect to people, some are disconnected from life in general, and some are some are disconnected from themselves even... So yeah no shit the two main characters won't just go and pair up from the start, why am I even drawing that :D So when the story starts, Eliot and Vega aren't really that close. Yes, they are coworkers. Yes, they've been friends since school and through college. But it isn't school anymore, and the matters of life got so so much more complicated. Ever since getting to work with the main office, Eli has been soooo preoccupied with expeditions and local global projects. They finally got on the track to manifest their ambitions and there's no stopping them now... And for Vega getting to the main office meant getting a stable income and a prestigious job, so now it was the time to be a boring responsible adult. It just felt so right. So they kinda parted their ways in a sense. I mean, yes, they work in the same building and have the absolute same level and occupation, but Vega is a serious office and lab worker, and Eli is a crazy scientist going on every expedition possible. Do you see the difference?? What do you mean it's made up?! Their estrangement was predetermined from the start. And I mean, they are still drawn to each other (well, Vega is surely drawn to Eli and she hates it, whether whatever is going on in Eli's head is a fucking unsolvable riddle, but you can assume things-) But this is so complicated So so complicated
