Once Upon a time, long long ago, well, more like 10 years ago, Disney Descendants was released on Disney Channel!
Brought to you by both admins, this anniversary challenge is all about celebrating the first movie of the franchise, and we’d love to see you all participate with your OCs. OC’s from any film are allowed and you can do whatever you want with the prompts, they’re just a guide!

WEEK ONE: Characters
(July 24th - 30th)
DAY ONE - Mal. aka, magic. July 24th.
“Prick a finger, prick it deep, send our enemy off to sleep”. Mal loves to show off her magic to her friends. Does your OC have any magical abilities? Are they connected to anything magical?
DAY 2 - Jay. aka, hobbies. July 25th.
Jay adores Tourney. What hobby does your OC love? Drawing like Mal? Gaming like Carlos? Show us what your OC does when they’re not studying.
DAY 3 - Evie. aka, fashion. July 26th.
Evie is the fashion icon of the franchise, and so today is about showing off your OC’s style. What do they wear daily? What’s their coronation outfit like?
DAY 4 - Carlos. aka, animals. July 27th.
We all love Dude, but Carlos loves him the most. Does your OC have a pet? Or a special connection to animals?
DAY 4 - Audrey. aka, rivals. July 28th.
"Water under the bridge?" "Totes!" Whether it's Mal vs. Audrey or even Evie vs. Chad, everyone in Auradon has their issues with someone - that's life. Does your OC have someone they don't get along with at all? Maybe they're rivals, maybe they're enemies. Regardless, show us your OCs biggest advisory.

Yesterday we had rivals, today we have lovers. Who holds your OC’s heart? Show us your OC’s love interest! Or if they don’t have one, use this day to show us how your OC feels about love. Is it real? Do they believe in love at first sight?
DAY 7 - Jane. aka, beauty. July 30th.
Jane is stunning, and her insecurities in the first movie are heartbreaking. Today is about what makes your OC feel beautiful. Is it a certain outfit? A hair cut or colour? Maybe it’s a song they put on. Let us know!
WEEK TWO: RANDOM
(July 31st - August 6th)
DAY 8 - Rotten to the Core. aka, soundtack. July 31st.
Happy Anniversary! It’s been exactly 10 years since Descendants first aired on Disney Channel and we first heard the iconic soundtrack. Nearly every character has had their chance to show off their vocal prowess. What about your OC? Are they a singer? Whether they are or not, use this day to give your character their very own moment in the musical spotlight.
DAY 9 - Family Day. aka, family. August 1st.
"You do not want to at my house during dinner time." Family is different for everyone, nothing shows that more than the diverse familial situations shown in this franchise. So, how does your OC get along with their family? Take this day to show off your OCs family, or how they get along with them. Maybe introduce us to their original story? Or go crazy and show us how they act at Family Day in Auradon. The choice is yours.
DAY 10 - If Only. aka, location. August 2nd.
"This room is amazi-" "Gross!" "Gross. Amazingly gross..." From the Enchanted Lake to the Tourney field. From the dorms to Evie's castle. Everyone has some place they consider their safe space. Does your OC have one of these too? Introduce us to it in the form of an aesthetic or with a little blurb about it, for example!
DAY 10 - Tourney. aka, merch. August 3rd.
For today's challenge, let's say, for example, your OC is real and they have merch for them in the real world. Or, hey, maybe they're incredibly famous in-universe! In any case, use this day to show everyone some merch for your character! Dolls, Funkos, shirts, CDs, and so much more - there is so much to choose from!
DAY 12 - Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. aka, objects. August 4th.
Whether it's Fairy Godmother's wand, Mal's spell book, or Evie's magic mirror - the people of Auradon tend to have some kind of object that holds a lot of value to them. It doesn't matter if it's magical or purely sentimental, take this prompt to show us something (or things) that your OC couldn't bear to loose. Examples could include, diaries, stuffed animals, jewelry, etc.
DAY 13. VKs. aka, friends. August 5th.
"'Cause we're rotten..." "To the core!" When you don't get along with family and your love is non-existent, friends can be a lifeline for you. This franchise has given us more than enough evidence that friendship means everything and that in can be found in the weirdest places and with the most unlikely people. Who does your OC consider a friend, who are their best friends?
DAY 14th - Once Upon A Time. aka, happy endings. August 6th.
Every story has a start and an end, we can only hope that the ending will be satisfactory for us. What does your OCs ending look like? Is is happy? Or maybe even tragic. Does your OC get everything they ever wanted? Or does someone take their happily ever after

10 YEARS OF DESCENDANTS ━━ week one: characters / day three: evie + day seven: jane
ILDRI WESTERGAARD takes pride in looking and feeling her best, and she channels that through fashion, makeup, and nail polish. Her signature look features a fierce matte red lip, a smoldering smokey eye courtesy of Evie’s teaching, and fiery ombré nails that began as a spontaneous art experiment by Mal and quickly became her go-to look.
Her wardrobe is almost exclusively made up of warm, blazing hues; vibrant oranges, deep reds, and occasional sunlit yellow. Aesthetically, Ildri draws inspiration from a blend of fairycore, regency/royaltycore, and witchcore. From the fairycore aesthetic, she likes the fantastical elements of lace, tulle, flowing silhouettes, and intricate embroidery. From the regency and royaltycore aesthetic, she likes the puffed sleeves, square necklines, corsets, velvet fabrics, and touches of pearls and gemstones. Witchcore gives her look a grungier vibe through vintage silhouettes, nature motifs, knee-high leather boots, and rich satin textures. When it comes to formalwear, Ildri gravitates toward tiered, glittering gowns in flame-inspired palettes.
Accessorizing is where she truly shines (haha get it). She loves necklaces with sun pendants, dangly earrings, unique belts, silk ribbons in her hair, and velvet scrunchies. But more than anything, she loves rings. Her hands are only ever seen without an eclectic collections of ring when she's sleeping or in water, they are switched out often but four, eventually five, are never changed.
These five rings are more than accessories, they brand her as one of the most feared and respected kids on the Isle, a protected core member of Mal’s inner circle, and they serve as constant reminders of the only people she has ever truly loved and trusted.
The first is a silver dragon with fierce wings, and a tiny piece of amethyst hanging off its tail represents Mal. The second is gold with a twisted band decorated with plastic white gems, and a crown motif atop a synthetic sapphire gem. The third is a simple, thick banded ring with a large oval treated grey chalcedony in the center. The fourth is gold, edged with cobra-like fangs around the band and a rhombus ruby set in the middle. Eventually, her radiant sun-shaped engagement ring from Ben is added and then upgraded to a wedding band with a gleaming sunstone.
The things she chooses to wear — clothes, shoes, accessories, and makeup — are chosen because they make her feel beautiful and confident.
Petra's Wolf Transformation: Throughout the first story in the Outcasts Universe, Petra struggles with her new-found shapeshifting abilities. After spending a decade in her wolf form, she finds that turning each month is a painful ordeal. Thankfully, Fairy Godmother is able to enchant her mother's old red cloak for her, which stops Petra's transformations during full moons - if she so chooses.
Tee's Potions & Poisons: Born with magic in his system, Tee has been honing his magical powers his entire life. Lead sternly by his mother, the Gingerbread Witch, Tee has learned how to make all kinds of potions, poisons (like the one he uses on Falk), and spells (like the confidence spell he puts on Minty). It will take time, but Tee becomes invested in using his powers for good in the future.
Rosalie's Plant Powers: The daughter of Rosetta and Sled, Rosalie is a garden talent like her mother, though she has much less problems getting in the dirt for her passions. Rosie is able to mage plants grow at a rapid rage as well as making vines appear and other abilities that will grow throughout her life. She tries to use this power in the big fight to defeat Maleficent.
June's Genie Lamp: Before the big climax of Blood Red, June discovers an empty genie lamp, which she is quick to show off to Jay. With the help of Tee, June enchants the lamp. With special enchanted cufflinks, they can make another person a genie. June and Jay conspire to trap his father Jafar in the lamp until he has finally learned his lesson.

Honestly, I imagined the trio as antagonists, so they'd have issues with basically the entirety of Auradon, the VKs and/or Red, and her crew
Though slightly related is they have more of a friendly rivalry with Uma and her pirate crew, and ghosts and pirates y'know, next door neighbors ✨️ Astrid, Connor, and Riley all view it as just playful bickering at least until Uma and the crew sided with the VKs

⤷ Lila of Agrabah, adoptive daughter of Jasmine and Aladdin, was often seen sporting bright colors. She was particularly fond of wearing turquoises and pinks. She likes gold jewelry. For Ben’s coronation, Lila would wear something that invokes her mother and it would also probably be turquoise.

Weston was very nervous to start attending Auradon cause it meant he would be away from his home and family for most of the year. Because of this, his dad gave him his lantern so Weston could take a small piece of home with him.
Weston keeps the lantern in his dorm room that he shares with Doug, and it helps him relax whenever he feels stressed or homesick. He would be distraught if the lantern got lost. And if it broke somehow, he would probably fall to his knees and sob.

Meribeth of DunBroch feels beautiful when her hair is pinned up away from her face. Meribeth loves her natural curls, but often feels lost within them, simply pinning them up makes her feel more confident.
Amara Von Waltz always feels beautiful, but will not be seen without a lip product on, even a clear lip balm makes her feel confident.
Celeste Blue feels beautiful when she pops her wings out, and is in her true fairy form. She takes great pride in her wings and cares for them meticulously.
