So I saw the firefighter ask you reblogged and it started me thinking about Sterek and Firefighter Derek who is using the job as a way to deal with what happened to his family but he isn’t actually handling it healthily, so stiles starts trying to help him deal with his trauma, but there’s a healthy amount of stress eating and such along the way, so Derek ends up in a better mental place, but with a chubby belly and wide hips for his trouble...

Ilya is browsing the internet when he comes across a Shane Hollander body pillow. Thinking it’s funny, he orders one to be sent to Shane, but his browser autofills his own address and she doesn’t notice. So it shows up at his place. He hides it, not sure what to do with it, but sometimes, in the middle of the night, he’ll pull it out and snuggle with it when he’s really missing Shane.
Years later, when they’re officially together, and after Ilya has been feeding up Shane, they’re lying in bed. Ilya’s arms are wrapped around Shane’s softer torso, and Ilya sleepily murmurs, “finally, you feel like your pillow.”
Leaving Shane to wonder what the hell he’s talking about.

I hate when profs only accept their interpretation of the text.
the prompt for the paper is really cool, but it’s the constraint of the class that has me a little annoyed at this point. i have to pretend i’m making a film adaptation of the book, and write what gothic themes are most important to get across in said adaptation. which is horror/terror imo.but if it was a film and lit class and i could talk about literally anything, i’d be golden.

i am, but like... not how i want to? It’s all leading back to how Creature talking and making conscious decisions affects Victory on a psychological level in regards to terror v horror. I would really like to do a paper on how Creature talking and reading makes him a more sympathetic character, even more so than Victor but that’s not what the prof wants. s ooooooooo
