Random thought: Hylia lost track of the hero’s spirit and thought it was within you. Problem is, you are not Link, but she’s convinced you are.

She forces the issue.

Welcome to the land of Hyrule, where people will demand you do quests and defeat the big bad for them! Ah, but you can’t introduce yourself with your real name, because people are convinced you are mute for whatever reason.

Magic. The real reason is magic. You can talk just fine.

I can just imagine the expressions of frustration and pettiness while the MC tries to sabotage quests or ignore the random Hylians that cannot function without your help. The MC will probably stall going after Ganondorf until they cannot do it anymore because they are not vibing with the whole situation.

I understand that nowadays if you're dealing with a delicate matter, it's polite to let your audience know about it beforehand. However, in a world that's desensitized to violence and tragedy, I think we, as a society, are prepared to know when something is about to get a little too nasty for you.

Take for example AO3. People are spoiling their content just to make clear that some elements of the story may contain some themes that may cause people some discomfort, or just plain trigger them. And in some ways, this IS a valid choice.

However, I feel like people have overused and even abused this type of disclaimer. Some themes that now require trigger warnings are not on the same level as: "death", "SA", "suicide ideation", "gore", "torture", "body horror", etc.

There's a lot of very niche stuff that seems to merit a trigger warning tag for some reason. Spoilers: when there's too many tags, people will just skip them! Hence the reason why someone will not be aware of the "Major Character Death" tag you've added next to "Boobies".

There's no nuance to trigger warnings, because you either warn people or you don't. Perhaps sometimes a "viewer/reader discretion is advised" is sufficient. Perhaps you consider imperative that you mention everything in the tags. In my personal opinion, I think we have lost some of the confidence we have on people to know when something is suitable for them- or not.

It's not that people are stupid. They have tools to find stuff they like. In AO3, people who aren't fond of straight pairings, for example, have the option to filter out the f/m category. You don't need to put "Heterosexuality" as a tag.

I have reblogged similar posts in this blog before and I stand by what they've said. "The Author Chose Not To Give Any Warnings" is a valid option as well.

If I haven't been clear before, then I'll say it now: I don't interact with kids. This blog is NOT suitable for kids. If you're a minor, I strongly suggest to you and your friends that you find a different outlet for your entertainment.

The first thing to comes to mind with this is a bunch of people having a tea party. With exotic fruit lmao And you know who of the Gotham rogues has the theme of Alice in Wonderland? Mad Hatter! A villian who has a fetish of making anyone his Alice and forcing the unlucky individual into doing crime for him.

In a dpxdc context, and because I didn't do much with Anger Management, I would love it if it's plain Jazz who is forced into Mad Hatter's latest scheme. And to top it off, she's the sweetheart of Jason / Red Hood, who's been seeing her in and out costume and has been slowly but surely winning her over.

Sure, she was a little put off by the whole crimelord thing he's got going on at first, and thats not even mentioning the whole shebang with eight heads that happened shortly after his debut as Red Hood, but after showing her one of his bases and meeting the people he protects, he has assured her of his redemption and is a firm believer of his rules and his goal to control crime. You may ask yourself, why is that? But all Gothamites (yes, also Jazz) know that Gotham wouldn't function without their vigilantes. The legal system is just that broken.

(Gotham is a wild beast, this Jazz acknowledges. It's bit different from home; the brand of chaos is of a more dangerous variety. In Amity, she has never been mugged twice in the same day, the robbers of the last attempt caught by the police and then released because the GPD is too corrupt retain criminals.)

Now, because this is plain Jazz, this means she's not a halfa or something other (that is currently a trend in the crossover fandom). She's just a badass human being that kicks ass. So, after Mad Hatter is defeated and the mind control broken, she takes the opportunity of taking one of his damn pomegrades (a whole one, mind you) and shoves the entire thing into the rogues' mouth. And then, before anyone can stop her, she begins to pour some of the boiling water over the man as well.

Mad Hatter is taken away from Jazz with some serious burns and a half swallowed pomegrade that will have to be carefully removed by doctors afterwards. But hey, Jason is very aroused by the sight of his girlfriend casually handing Mad Hatter his ass after all the trauma he has dumped on her. After she has calmed down and taken a moment to decompress, he's going to buy her some ice cream and suggest that they watch a movie together.

I can think of a hurt/comfort premise.

Ever since he came back, Jason can't stand the scent of mud and roses. There were a lot of flowers when he surged from his grave and he may have choked on most of them on his way out. He may have also spent a lot of time struggling to clear his airways after he was above ground.

(The rain of that particular storm may have peppered Jason with coldness, making him flinch every time water and dirt got inside his injuries, but it never took away the mud clinging to his skin.)

Red Hood's helmet helped, since he felt disconnected from rain when he was wearing it. Nothing could reach him while he was inside it, because the tech would filter out most of the scents that would normally bother him. His vigilante get up sealed away his body to another place, somewhere safe, where the earth wouldn't touch him.

His family didn't understand why he would always hide behind his Red Hood persona... but Roy and Kori certainly did. They also understood his eagerness for adventure - away, in space, with them - and never denied him the chance to see the stars for himself.

Heads up! This is a writing and personal blog. So far the topics I have engaged in are purely from the dpxdc fandom, with a few exceptions here and there. If you are following me just because of the dpxdc content, this is a warning to you! Everything indicates that I'll be branching out from that fandom soon and if you don't want to be swamped with content from other series, then this is where we part ways.
