I’m guilty of favouring the cycling mode of transportation a bit to an extreme extent. It is, for me, an independent way to manoeuvre my way to anywhere I wish without upsetting Mother Nature.
I returned to my city Kolkata after many years. I was in a different state for professional reasons and, luckily, got transferred to the Kolkata branch recently. Blogging has always been another passion of mine that I lovingly pursue, if not aggressively.
Today I dusted my desktop and decided to write a blog on my recent experience of visiting a cycling showroom. Kolkata always abounded with several popular cycle shops and, as a kid, I loved to check them out.

Veloton cycle showroom stands on Gariahat Rd (south) near South City Mall in Jodhpur Park. The location is not hard to locate for anyone in the city. It is well-connected by road with other parts of Kolkata.
Oh! The Collection….
The collection here is versatile, dazzling and quite impressive. It would be a challenge to stay unflappable for anyone when presented with such an enormous stock of international branded cycles.
The showroom looks like an elegant exhibition of all internationally renowned premium range bikes. And, why shouldn’t it look like that?
The showroom is spread across an area of 2200 sq ft. It makes this cycle shop Kolkata’s largest premium cycle hub that the people here have ever seen before.
The In-store Technicians are Our Saviours!
The showroom attracts attention not just because of its vast and versatile collection. The availability of expert in-store technician services is a major hallmark of this cycle showroom. It is only natural for newbie cyclists to get puzzled while deciding on the right ride for them. Because the wheel matters!
The mission of the in-store technicians here is to assist the buyers in making the right ride choice. As the stock here is vast, it is only natural for confusion to arise and cloud their judgement. Not all cyclists are thoroughly aware of the different types, and factors that need consideration before choosing a ride.
In my experience as an ardent cyclist, I have felt how important certain factors are like

From what I have learnt, Veloton is steadily becoming popular as a trek cycle store and Raleigh cycle store. The collection of both these internationally renowned brands is massive here. Name any premium model and chances are high you will find one here.
Spontaneity of Service
Another aspect of their service that caught my eye is their spontaneity in getting you the one that might not be available currently at the store. While talking to a staff member here I learned that if ever a model is out of stock in the shop and a customer comes looking for it, they ensure to get the one within the shortest possible time frame. Of course not on the same day!
But, they keep following up and inform you the moment they manage to avail the model. All this is possible thanks to their vast network of dealers scattered everywhere!
A Depot of Cycle Accessories
Veloton also is a depot of a premium range of cycle accessories sourced from various reputable brands. It is the largest (as per what I could notice) store to house so many different types and ranges of bike accessories under a single roof.
