I'm planning to make a series of (short) stories connected to each other, named Cyberangels. It's kinda sci-fi (idk), dystopian + utopian-ish? But also involving some action? Magical girl elements? If that makes sense?

I could start writing first, then go with the illustrations, but how do I start? The only thing I have right now is a pinterest board and an idea of what I'm going to do.

So here are my questions:

How do I make a good planning for writing? I'm personally horrible with plannings since I tend to fuck around and find out (well, that's one way to put it)

How do I start? Do I start working out the setting, the characters, the plot? Or something entirely else?

If I ever get a large audience, how do I actually make it professional?

Is there anything that I might want to avoid? For example clichés, overused tropes etc?
