Power Couple Commandments✍🏾 Having my wife as my business partner is BY FAR the most fulfilling AND the most challenging thing I've ever done professionally. If you are thinking about working with your spouse or you already are and you want to make it better, try following a few simple rules. #1 Be Faithful! I know it's rare these days but you will mess up a lot if you mess around!✊🏾 #2 Communicate regularly about the vision and goals for your business, finances and relationship. #3 Learn each other's strengths and weaknesses. This way you can divide responsibility and set real expectations. (Don't set your spouse up for failure) #4 Have a plan for the money you make. No one wants to work hard only to find out their partner has blown the money! #5 Make time for your love relationship. Listen, you can grind all you want but don't forget your spouse has "other needs" besides business. #6 Let people know you are married 👀! Yes, that "married but single" mindset will have you in a world of hurt. #7 Push each other to greatness. Compliments, motivation, pats on the back and "I'm proud of you" etc goes a long way after you've been grinding for your family all day! (#Bonus Respect each other. It's easier said than done. Money can make people lose their cool.
