Y'all look at this GLORIOUS super busy and atrociously bright fabric I bought to make a pair of pants out of hehehehehehehe (.... wow tumblr really compressed that image RIP) it's a cotton poplin!
I have three fabrics I am going to make pants out of, and all three are some variety of bright pink, so I am just going to use the same thread on all three and sew them all at the same time, doing each step 3 times in a row so that I FINALLY have more than 2 pairs of pants I can wear outside the house!!!
Here is one of the other fabrics, which my best friend bought for me because it was deadstock (ie not going to come back in stock) and there was only 18 yards left and I needed at least 2.5 yards for a pair of pants. Thank you to the bestie for that!!! It's gonna be glorious!!! This one is a cotton/rayon blend and I was nervous about the rayon but I don't hate touching it as much as I expected to. I don't think I would like touching pure rayon fabric though.
And the last is a plain hot pink linen, actually the same linen as the last pair of hot pink pants, because I was *going* to buy the "best quality for the midrange price tag" linen that Bernadette Banner complimented in that one finding historical quality linen video that two separate people sent me (because I am insane about how we literally don't make fabric how we used to anymore because we don't even grow the same fibers!!!! I am insane about it!!!) But shipping from Ireland was gonna be just as much as the fabric and then there was tarrifs to consider so instead I just got the same linen as before because it held up okay for being my only pair of pants for a year and then one of only two pairs of pants for the year after that. Plus I am reinforcing the waistband which was the point of failure last time so hopefully this time they last a little longer.
Anyway. That's my next sewing project. And then I gotta get back to doing geometry for project boobmageddon. Which I CAN do because geometry may not be my strong suit but I CAN GET BETTER AT IT and this project will HELP with that!!!
