Dearest cunts,
We are almost celebrating 6 years since our first edition (11/11/2011) so we want to create the last zine of the year and commemorate with all of you.
The theme for issue #12 is: Space.
Inspiration guidelines can go from the feminist concept of taking up space, public Space, which is ours just as much it is everyone else. Deconstructing the dangerous and patriarchal idea imposed upon so most of us while growing up, that women and people who don't necessarily identify as men, need to shrink and limit themselves. While others have the privilege to not question the simple fact that they take on two chairs on the metro with their whole body and the consequences of those actions.
A social Space where we can talk, scream, show our feelings, express our opinions, take pride in our relationships, roots and all our beautiful identities, while being free of the fear for any type of repercussions, without having to apologize for our every action or hesitant about being misunderstood.
A physical and individual Space that is violated so many times by so many people without our consent.
A mental and emotional Space for us to grow, to evolve and to strengthen our capacity to deal with the world outside.
A material Space, based in the cities where we live and the urgent necessity for our marginalized communities to meet each other, share experiences or simply have fun. Since many of us don't feel safe or welcomed in many environments, even places where we were not supposed to fear for your safety at all. \Places where we can interact, socialize freely, find our pairs and create our own revolutions.
Many generations have found that safety through being anonymous in cyber Space.
And also the Space above us, the fascination with astronomy, with the stars, planets, the beyond and our beloved alien creatures whom populate so many of our fictional stories about the unknown.
