Ash had been surprised when Lucius had sent her an owl saying he needed to speak to her urgently. Â Worried about him, she arrived at the location he had mentioned in his owl. Â The location was a bit off the beaten path, but Ash didnât mind meeting him there. Â For a second, Alastorâs warning came to mind about being careful and how anybody could be in line with the dark lord. Â But Ash was more concerned about Lucius than herself. Â
Ash waited and waited. Â She stood in front of an abandoned house, a thrill of fear raced down her spine. Â Why would Lucius ask to meet in this location. Â Maybe Alastor was right.. maybe this was a trap. Â Maybe she shouldnât have come to meet Lucius Malfoy alone in front of this run down house. Â She was just about to turn and go, when Lucius apparated. Â She looked at him, his face and body shrowded in shadows. Â She couldnât see him well, but he wasnât moving towards her and he wasnât speaking. Â Ash frowned. Â âLucius, whatâs wrong?â
He stepped closer to her, into a little more light. His jaw was tightly clenched and his eyes were bloodshot and there were bags under his eyes as if he hadnât slept in days. Â
Malfoy shook his head. Â Ash was worried. Â She stepped up to him and wrapped her arms around the man. Â He was much taller than her, but she tucked him into her arms like she would have a child and Lucius didnât resist. Â
âItâs okay..â She said softly and kissed the top of his head. Â âYouâre safe now. Â Just tell me what happened.â Â
Lucius was shaking. Â Ash just held him and kissed the top of his head again. Â Whatever was wrong, Ash would listen and help Lucius figure it out. Â She might not be his teacher any longer, but she still considered herself his mentor and she would do what she could to help. Â
