All of Me (loves all of you)
Merry Christmas @cosette141â! Here is your Christmas gift from your Secret Santa! I had so much fun writing this little fix it, canon divergence piece for you. I know season 4a is one of your favorites and I just happen to be in the middle of reviewing that season, so it worked out perfectly! I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you to @xarandomdreamxâ for being my beta
And thank you to the Captain Swan Secret Santa for putting this on again!

Emma slammed her bug into park and started beating on the steering wheel. The words of the Snow Queen echoed through her mind.
The only way this ends is you embracing who you are.
But Emma had embraced who she was. Wasnât that why the wand had worked in the past? Wasnât that why she had wanted to stay in Storybrooke? Because she was embracing who she was? She just needed to get her stupid powers under control, and without Reginaâs help she just couldnât get a grasp on them.Â
Right now, she just needed a place to hide.
As if her magic understood her need, her hands sparked and her car went back into drive and started driving itself.Â
âGreat,â Emma sighed to herself. âJust like the Ford Anglia in Harry Potter.â
It deposited her in front of Goldâs cabin in the middle of the woods. The last time sheâd been here heâd been beating the crap out of Mo French. She hoped it had been cleaned since then.
She slammed the car door as she got out, putting her red leather jacket back on to ward off the chill. She didnât even bother checking if the door was locked, her magic automatically opening it for her.
âThat wouldâve been useful when I was younger,â she murmured to herself. The place was spotless. Definitely been cleaned up since the Mo French incident. Emma wondered if Gold even remembered he owned this place. It didnât look like anyone had used it at all. Everything was in perfect order. No rumpled bed sheets, nothing in the sink, not even any wear on the sofa. However, there did happen to be a thin layer of dust over everything. Emma found a roll of paper towels, tore off a piece, and started dusting the cabin. She was already beginning to feel calmer.Â
Can I get a roll call?

The Billionaire "prank" joke
@captainodonoghue This is your secret Santa here. This story is all for you. (Going to post it all here too, as I can't remember if you're on AO3 or not?) As you know I picked the prompt you shared about the billionaire prank gift joke... These 8000+ words it the result of my muse running along with that prompt. It has been such a fun thing to work on here in December. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Merry Christmas to you.
Read on FF.NET and AO3
HUGE shout out to @hookedmom for beta reading this for me. I'm amazed how you just powered through this long one-shot.

READ THE STORY HERE TOO:
A/N: This story is my gift to @captainodonoghue who I had the privilege to be secret Santa for this year (over on Tumblr). She shared this list of prompts: https://captainodonoghue.tumblr.com/tagged/cs%20prompts and my brain started to pick on the âBillionaire âprankâ jokeâ: sending an invite to some rich guy in hopes he would have his secretary sending a gift regardless of how well he knows the bride/groom.Â
This evolved into this, I really hope it can live up to the prompt and that you like it.Â
I couldnât have done this without the immense help of @hookedmom who beta-read this 8000+ word one-shot.
Itâs been such a joy to be part of CSSS2022.Â

The Billionaire âPrankâ Joke.Â
A one-shot tale of how a cruel joke can backfire in all the right ways, not for the jokester (Neal), but for his fiance Emma Swan.Â
Being in a sour mood at your own rehearsal dinner wasnât how Emma Swan imagined herself six months ago. When Neal Cassady swept her off her feet, he surprised the hell out of her when he dropped to one knee and asked the big question.Â
Emma looked around at the guests sitting at the table, her side of the party included her friends Ruby and Elsa. Everyone else was friends with Neal, which included his best man, Walsh. They were rowdy and obnoxious and it was only half an hour into the dinner. Why am I even here? She pondered, and rested her chin in her palm, her elbows pushed back her plate, she wasnât hungry anymore.Â
When the door to the private lounge room in the rooftop restaurant at the Revere Hotel in Boston opened up, the servers collected the small appetizers from the table. Emma had forgotten what sheâd eaten, all fancy schmancy, paid by Nealâs no-show father. As the servers were leaving and about to shut the door, a dark-haired man extended his hand to stop the door from closing. Emma gaped as she realized she might know him.
âKillian!â Emma exclaimed and slowly rose from her seat, the chatter around the table died down and everyone turned their focus on the one person Emma had never imagined she would ever see again.Â
âHello, Emma.â Killian smiled, âso I hear youâre getting married?âÂ
@whimsicallyenchantedrose
So as I began the art for a snowed in piece, this came to mind. Itâs not quite what you described so I hope you enjoy it!

CS Secret Santa 2022: Gift Fic âLet Nothing You Dismayâ
Hello, itâs your running late Secret Santa at last!! This fic is my gift for @zaharadessert , my giftee in the @cssecretsanta2020 event. I apologize that I am so close to the deadline for getting it posted on the 26th, but I have truly enjoyed being your Santa this year. I love your writing and CS fics, and I wanted this to be something you would enjoy in return. (I hope Iâve managed that to some degree!) I wanted a bit of one of them taking care of the other when they couldnât, several of the side characters you mentioned enjoying, and a bit of post-s6 every day life in Storybrooke we could have seen for CS after their wedding. I also couldnât resist trying to work in multiple Christmas tress in some way after you shared about that tradition from your real life. I canât really fuss with it anymore though, so Iâm going to put it in your hands and hope it will make you smile.
Merry (day after) Christmas @zaharadessertâ and Iâm glad I got to be your Secret Santa!
by: @snowbellewellsâÂ
Summary: A quick check on the townâs power lines turns into a frightening emergency for Emma and Killian, but their family and friends prove neither of them are lost or forgotten anymore. And thatâs not the only surprise this holiday season has in store...
Shivering and futilely trying to keep her teeth from clacking together as they chattered, Emma Swan blew out a worried, frustrated breath and crouched closer before the silent, empty fireplace. It shouldnât be anything for her to kindle flames within using her magic, but as she stretched her trembling hands stinging with cold - and she feared oncoming frostbite - out toward the hearth once more, not even a fitful spark showed for her efforts.
Her head falling forward, chin resting on her chest, Emma cursed under her breath, feeling her desperation rising, but not wanting to alert her husband to her growing sense of panic. Instead, she gathered a deep, cleansing breath and tried to refocus her energy. Just as Killian often playfully reminded her of himself, they were both survivors, and they would get through this.
A low, pained groan caught her ear, just as Emma had managed to still her racing thoughts, and her breath hitched in her chest, worry clenching her heart once more. Stupid, ridiculous, dashing, selfless pirate, she berated internally as she watched his head toss back and forth on the pillow where it lay. He wasnât fully conscious, and if sheâd had any doubt of that, his moan of discomfort had silenced it; he was too stubborn and tough to have let such a sound escape and concern her if he were fully aware.Â
Quickly, Emma stood and moved to his side of the rickety bed, where they had managed to perch his wounded and chilled form, before he had eventually sprawled insensibly, at last unable to keep up the appearance that he was fine. Biting her lower lip, which was becoming increasingly chapped and sensitive from the worried action, Emma reached out to brush what she hoped were soothing fingers over his brow, and nearly recoiled with a gasp from the heat now radiating off Killianâs skin. The dark hair that fell over his forehead was damp with perspiration as she brushed the strands back from his brow, and she felt her pulse kick up at the tremor she could feel running through him.
She was no nurse, but she knew that the dangers of a fever running too high, unchecked, for too long could be too awful to contemplate. Once more, she reached deep inside herself for her magic hoping to curb the fever that seemed to grip her husband, or at least to ease his pain or mend the ankle she feared might be badly broken. As before, however, she could feel the power and warmth begin to gather, start the tingle down her arms to her waiting fingers, then fizzle out uselessly. She wanted to cry or scream, angry at herself for her inability to use magic now when they needed it more than ever, when her True Love needed her so badly. Why was now the time that her power seemed unable to offer any comfort?!?

Killian stood there by the edge of the water until the rowboat got out of sight and the water receded back into liquid fire. Though he would miss Liam terribly, he knew that he would one day see him again. It wasnât Killianâs time to move on. Not without Emma by his side.
After the scene retreated, he left the cavern and made his way as quickly as he could back to the mansion where he had last seen his lover. He couldnât go any longer without resolving their disagreement. She had come down here just to save him and bring him home. The least he could do was make that easier for her. Besides, he didnât really want to be without her, anyway. Not if it mean having to leave her behind.
The first chapter of my entry to the Captain Swan Supernatural Summer 2022.

Chapter OneÂ
âSo, youâve been with my former lover and my son, is that right?â Milah pursed her lips.
Emma hadnât been prepared for this, âHuhâ was all she could say.
Rumplestilstkin smirked, âIâm sure weâre gonna laugh ourselves sick about this one day."
Milah filed behind Rumple and to Emma in a low voice conspired, âBut not until heâs buggered off and we can get a drink.â
Emma smiled, this was an odd place, and that was Nealâs grin. The one she'd fallen for, the one full of mischief and promise. And there was the woman of fire Killian had spoken of. The one so strong that he still wanted to save. She saw herself there and smiled at the thought that she and Killian had fallen in love with the same grin.
They walked through the town, Rumple studiously ignored the soft talk between the two women.
Milah asked, "Did Bae still love to draw, when you were together I mean?"
Emma gave her a tight-lipped smile, "We were on the run, his art form was lock picks."
Milah smiled a vagabond smile, "There's a romance to that, what was he like, as a teenager?"
Emma shrugged, "I wouldn't know, he was in his mid-twenties, well, he looked mid-twenties, apparently he was closer to 300 by then, fucking Neverland."
Milah looked confused, "Rumple said⊠oh... oh gods no," she put her hand on Emma's shoulder, halting them in place. "Why did you have your baby in prison Emma?"
Emma looked at Milah with tired eyes, "It's a long story," she glanced at Rumple. "Let's just say, in some things he took after his father, but Milah, when he was brave, when he was a hero, he wore your smile."
"You've a kind heart, I can tell youâre trying to hide the hurt of it," Milah swallowed and glared at Rumple who was staring at his watch.
Rumple glared back, "I don't care if Hades puts in an extra few licks on your Pirate ladies, but I assume you do."
Emma looked up in confusion "The way in is here? So, what, the gates of hell are in my house?"
Rumple smirked, "As was the stone of Excalibur. The Pirate has a knack for targeting real estate with hidden value."
Milah whispered to Emma with a waggle of her brows that made Emmaâs heart ache. "He's a marvel with finding treasure.â Â
Emma sighed, her eyes caressing the dusting toys and empty crib, âBasement door?â
Rumple nodded, âBasement doorâ
Emma walked up to the door and unlocked it. Trying to push through the seal on the door flashed and repelled her, âIt's a barrier, all right. So what is she going to do?âÂ
Rumple sneered at Emma, even now he couldnât keep his disdain from his face, âJoining hands will be fine.â He reached out both his hands and, however unwillingly, the women took them.
Walking forward together they passed through the barrier as if it had never existed, Emma and Milah dropped Rumpleâs hands and again strangely in synch, wiped their hands on the back of their trousers.
Emma spoke softly, the relief evident, âIt worked.âÂ
Rumpleâs cold tone held more chill even than usual, âIndeed. One step closer to Hell. The spell's gone. We'll be able to pass through on our own now. Thank you, Milah. You can run back to protecting the dead children.â
Emma held up a hand to Rumple âHang on.â Emma met Milahâs eyes intensely, âMilah... thank you so much. And... there's something you should know. Your son, Neal, Baelfire... when I was on my way down here on the River, I had sort of a vision of him. I think he talked to me.â
Milah took in a soft breath âWhat did he say?â
âHe said that he moved on. And that he was happy. Whatever he had to resolve... he did it." The words seemed to escape Emma in a low hiss.Â
Milah smiled warmly, her posture softening, âThank you. Thank you so much.â
Emma nodded, all business again, âI hear water this way.â
Milah agreed, âThat would be the River of Lost Souls. We can take it to where Hades will have Killian.â
Rumple interjected, âI'm sorry, uh, "we" can take it? If you think you can get the pirate back, I doubt he's gonna swap the blonde one for the dead one.â
Milah and Emma rolled their eyes in stereo, Milah faced her former husband with a sneer. âYou might be dark, but sometimes you're still an idiot, Rumple.â Milah turned away from him dismissively, addressing her statement to the other woman, âI have my reasons. Let me come with you.â
Emma assented, heading toward the door with a simple, âOkay.â
Rumple stomped off to find some transport, âIâll leave you ladies to get acquainted.â
âDick,â Emma muttered under her breath.
Milah smirked, âYouâre a woman of few words, Emma.â
Emma smiled sadly, âKillianâs the one with all the good words, Iâm more of an action girl.â
âI can tell. What made you follow him into the underworld?â Milah asked softly.
Emma swallowed, âHe sacrificed himself to end the dark oneâs curse, I had to run him through with Excaliber.â Milah gasped but otherwise held her tongue. âWhen we found out that Rumple stolen that sacrifice, that he had taken back the power of the dark one, well... I had to do something, I had to try. My parents share a heart, if I give him half of my heart, then he can come home, we can have the life we planned.â
Milah blinked, âI didnât know that was a thing that could be done.â Her face was a riot of mixed emotion.
Emma wrapped her arms around herself, âNo one did until my parents did it, and they are the poster children for true love soâŠâ Emma was staring at the ground. âWait, I didnât mean, I mean he would have if he could, he loves you so much Milah, honestly, he does. Gold was being a dick, but honestly, I donât think itâd be an easy⊠and I wouldnât I mean, ifâŠâ
Milah shook her head, âBreathe Emma, you love like Killian does, Iâm glad he found you, that you found each other.â She grinned that vagabond smile and raised an eyebrow, âI donât see why heâd have to choose.âÂ
Emma felt the laughter burst out of her mouth without giving it conscious thought, âDid he learn the innuendo as a defence mechanism thing from you, or did you learn it from him?â
Milahâs smile was bright and clear, âI think youâll find Killian Jones learned a lot from me.â She gave Emma a wink, that reminded Emma of soft skin and hot nights and Emma blushed.
Rumple returned with the boat, âYou really are cut from the same cloth.â His voice made it clear he didnât see that as a good thing.
âRumple, I think that is the nicest thing youâve ever said to me,â retorted Milah, checking over the boat before setting herself at the rudder. âLike Iâd trust him to steer.â
Emma stepped on board gingerly, âI hope this boat you found doesn't spring a leak.âÂ
Rumple was blithe, âThis boat is the best thing we could have hoped to find. After we pick up the pirate, it will take us all the way home.â
Milah laughed, âThe Jolly has spoiled you.â
A shadow passed over Emmaâs face at the thought of the last time she and Killian were aboard the Jolly, âSheâs very special, Killianâs so happy to have her back.â
Milahâs brows rose, âBack?â
Emma sighed, âItâs a..â
Milah cut her off, âA long story? Sounds like thereâs a few of those.â
Rumple laughed darkly, âDonât you want Milah to know how the Pirate gave up his ship for you, chased you across the realms and attempted True Loves kiss? She was always fond of the great romances, perhaps sheâd enjoy knowing how easily he moved on.â
Emma scowled, âSeriously, Gold? Killian mourned Milah every day for hundreds of years, he still calls for her in the night sometimes. He hunted you and gave up everything trying to avenge her. Why are you still trying to hurt her with this? You moved on, you have Belle, your own true love, youâve re-married.â
Rumple snarled, âBecause she did this to me, I was a good man.â
Milah stood, rocking the boat, âYou were a useless coward and our lives were unbearable, you had one job, to watch Bae and you failed even at that.â
âI didnât want to kill the man for the cure for Milah, I didnât want to be a murderer, so I made a deal,â Rumpleâs voice was ragged.
Milah sat down, âI was already pregnant when you made that deal Rumple, when you sold our child and the rest of my life. Thatâs why I was so lost and angry that day, so desperate... I was silent about it. Thought if I kept the child from you I could pass them elsewhere through the midwife; or run. In the end it didnât matter, our second-born didnât live through her first nightâ
Rumple face was a picture of pain and confusion, âI had a daughter, I didnât know, how didnât I know?â
âIâd frozen you out by then, bade you sleep in with Bae, kept my aprons loose and wore my shawl,â Milah shook her head. âIt doesnât matter now, none of it does.â A cold silence held the boat, the only interruption the susurration of the water beneath the boat.
Emma stood suddenly, âThis is it. He's down there. I feel it.â
Rumple sat at his place, his voice fraught, âI'm not leaving the boat. It's too valuable. You're capable of getting the Pirate on your own, I'm sure. And don't even think about using magic. Hades would notice anything this close to his home base.âÂ
Milah placed a hand on Emmaâs shoulder, âIf he's not moving, I'm not, either. If he tries to steal this thing, I'll give a shout. I think he and I should talk this out, give him a kiss for me aye?â
Emma smiled and nodded, tearing off up the stairs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milah tried to break the tension,âSo... you're married now. That's real?â
Rumpleâs voice was harsh and raw, âLook, about your, uh, unfinished business... if it's love for the Pirate, then it's definitely off the table.âÂ
Milah sighed, âMy unfinished business was never Killian.âÂ
Rumple looked confused, âThen whyâŠâÂ
âIt's Baelfire. Our son.â Milahâs voice was low and sad. âI should have been there for him. Not... punished him because, well you know why now I suppose. I was selfish. I thought if I could... change that, do something generous... maybe I could finish what I need to."Â
Rumple stated softly, âSo you want to move on.âÂ
Milah nodded, âYes. So I can... see him, and I can... say to him, 'Son, I'm... I'm sorry for... everything.'âÂ
Rumpled actually smiled, "He'll forgive you. I betrayed him as well. As a grown man, he re-entered my life, and he forgave me. He'll do the same for you.â
Milah looked askance, âThat's a nice thought. It's just... I really want to see him again.â
âYou will,â Rumple assured her. âAnd when you do... tell him hello from his papa.â
âSo,â Milah carried on in the same vein. "Tell me about our grandson."
Rumple shook his head, âHeâs something else, heâs a smart boy, he has the best of Bae in him.â
âOne thing I donât understand,â Milah asked. âWhy do you hate her so much? Is it just because of Killian?â
Rumple shook his head, âI donât hate her, I hate the choices she makes. I hate that she brought me here, that she got to see Bae. That despite everything she can just continue, and I hate that losing Bae didnât break her the way losing the Pirate did, sheâs infuriating.â
Milah sighed, âShe was really a teenager?â
âThat I canât account for,â Rumple shrugged. âI think something about Neverland holds more than your physical self in stasis. Look at the Pirate. He was there for hundreds of years fixating on killing me, a handful of years here with outside influences and suddenly he is ready to forget everything that went before. And for what, a sniff of the saviourâs knickers?â
Milah objected, âThatâs disgusting Rumple, sheâs literally battling her way through hell for him. I think we can assume itâs pretty serious.â
Rumple sighed, âI could tell you that she was a mass murderer and he ate puppies and youâd still defend them. But not our boy? He knew sheâd follow him so he made sure she got caught, simple.â
âWait,â Milah asked in surprise, âHe set her up? For pityâs sake Rumple, she wouldnât even speak ill of him to me, and you think Iâm seeing the worst in him? Perhaps we should just sit here quietly.â
Time passed slowly. Rumple checked his watch, âThey should be back here by now.â
Milah seemed lost in the flickering from the river, âThey all seem so lost.â
Rumple agreed, âYes, yes they do.â
A flash of blue light signalled the entrance of a sleekly suited pale man with slicked hair and an air of insouciance. âYou ridiculous woman, you couldnât have kept your mouth shut for an hour more, I could have threatened the child of the woman he actually loves and had the dark one over a barrel. Well now you can join him in his torture, I have Fendrakeâs title, which means I have this,â he holds up a tiny glass bottle with a flickering glimmer inside it. âThis, dearies, is your daughter, her soul anyway, freely signed away by her father.â
âNO!â Milah screamed, reaching toward the vial.
âIâll make it quick, Gold,â the dark god snarled, flickering his hair alight. âYouâve been one of my best suppliers so Iâll offer you a deal. Deal with her and make sure they all stay where they belong and Iâll keep second chance number one and send you back to the new Mrs Dark-one and the new second chance, screw it up and Iâll let the Mrs know about your poor innocent baby youâve allowed me to torture forever.â
Rumple dragged his hand through his hair, âMilah will tell them anyway.â
Hades sneered, âThat sounds like a you problem,â and disappeared.
Rumple faced Milah with a hand over his face, she asked, âRumple, what are you going to do?â
Rumple shook his head, âWhat you always told me to Milah; Iâm going to take what I need.â
Milahâs eyes widened as she began to soar backward, hefted by Rumplestiltskinâs dark magic, flailing helplessly toward the damning mellifluousness.
The dark oneâs ears echoed with a sound of the past as he could swear he heard the echo of Killian Jones screaming for her just as he had the first time he killed her.
There was a shimmer around Milah as Emmaâs light magic grabbed her just before she hit the water and gently cradled her to the river bank.
âMilah! Milah? Milah!â gasped the bloodied and battered pirate, half sprinting, half falling down the stairs toward his long-lost love.
âKillian, Iâm alright, Iâm dead, but still dead, not more dead, thanks to your brilliant Emma,â Milah babbled. âYou look like youâve been through hell,â she smiled at her own joke.
Over their heads, Emma appeared to be trying to hold Rumple in place with sparkling white bands of light that he flicked away as if they were catkins on my coat. âStop this Ms Swan, I have to get back. Heâs threatening Belle and her very alive baby, just because it looks like the Pirate is choosing the dead one doesnât mean I will.â
Milah looked up at Killian, âHades has the soul of my baby, my lost daughter.â
Killian pulled himself to his feet, âCrocodile, a very wise mermaid once told me that villains never get their happy endings because villains always go about getting them the wrong way. Weâd have helped you, you didnât have to do this, how many times do you have to make the same bloody mistake?â
Rumplestiltskin screamed, a shriek filled with rage and hate, âHow dare you Pirate," he snarled. "I was a good man before I met you: Before you destroyed my life.â
âI didnât take a mallet to your foot you whimpering bastard,â Killian thundered, moving toward the prow of the boat. "Blame your father, blame your position in life, but stop blaming me for wanting to get her out from under your yoke. I only wish weâd taken Bae too and maybe heâd have had a chance to be a better man.â
With an ear-piercing shriek, Rumplestiltskin leapt toward the beleaguered Killian, aiming his dagger at his heart.
With a smooth parry, Killian disarmed him and faced him with the point of the blade. âThis didn't end well for me last time and Iâd rather not see what happens if I do this here. Step back old man, itâs over. Iâll help Belle for her own sake, not yours, and find a way to free yours and Milahâs babe too.â
Killian stepped back, shoving the dagger in the back of his belt, Rumple leapt for him again to be met by both Milahâs hand and Emmaâs magic, flying backward his footing and his will lost, he sank into the shimmering waters, his hand reaching upward.
Killian grabbed the dagger and stared in disbelief as the name on it unravelled and disappeared. He put his hook to his chest, and stared wildly at both of the great loves of his life, willing no new word to appear, the dagger stayed blank, smooth, it felt different now, no whisper, no roar.
His knees buckled beneath him and two pairs of small, work-worn hands grabbed him before he crumpled. âHeâs never really gone? Itâs too much to hope,â Killian whispered, more to himself than anything else.
âLetâs not borrow trouble love,â Milah said.
Just as Emma said, âItâll do for now, letâs go home, clearly, Hades, knew we were here so, shortcut?â
Milah looked at Emma with a half-smile, âI donât know what that means, but sure.â
