#CareerDay at Community School 111Q in LIC, NY with the very inspiring Marion Jeffries, the President of the Astoria-LIC @naacp chapter. Well into her eighties, Ms. Jeffries also teaches fitness classes and performs with dance troupes all over NYC. She has not only inspired the scholars (students) at CS111, but she has also inspired me! CS111, located in LIC, aims to create a home away from home because home-school connection empowers scholars to grow from good to great! All scholars are expected to graduate high school and college and the school has consistently produced excellent students who have come from NYCHA housing and have gone on to have better and brighter futures. So grateful to have the opportunity to share my experience as an immigration attorney to the students, teachers and staff at the school! 🙏💖🆒 . . . . . #cs111 #naacp #fitness #fitnessinstructor #immigration #immigrationlawyer #immigrationattorney #lic #queens #newyork #igerspinoy #igersnyc #career #job #careeropportunities #middleschool #publicschool #school #nycpublicschools #venusinorbit (at Ps 111 Jacob Blackwell) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByF9W_6Jy81/?igshid=1poal0jor35af
Boy, I wasn't the only one sick in that CS111 final.
We sounded like a medical clinic waiting room.
I think I did as well as I needed to on the exam for the class. (Most of the class points are from projects, reports, etc.)
Last final is first thing in the morning, then I'm done.
