what’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

Go with your first instinct. It’s so simple and so common, but it’s really done so much for me. I’m really indecisive by nature (Libra sun, what can you do?) so this advice really helps me stay grounded and remind myself that deep down, I know what’s best and what the right thing to do is. I’ve learned that I’m really an intuitive person and my gut reaction usually pays off really well.

 when’s the last time you followed your instincts? 

Ha. I didn’t even read ahead, given my last answer. But for here, I’d say a million times within the last few months. A month and some ago, I went to a career fair. After I did three laps around the place, I went halfway up the staircase to leave but my gut told me to check over the listing of businesses that were there. I found one that sounded kind of nice (an insurance company whose table I missed). My instincts told me to go back and see if they were available to talk (they were) and they’re the ones that have actually ended up hiring me to start my first job after graduation. My instincts knew.

what’s your favorite food? 

This is so hard. I love green beans and radishes and there’s this one apple cake that I’ve learned how to bake and I have never had any baked good that could even come close to topping this apple cake.
