At least Zevran’s sense of humor comes at the expense of himself often times: being surrounded by those who do nothing but cling to their own pride is exhausting. The irony of believing so is not lost on him, of course.  “No one trusts you. Perhaps that works in my favor: it means you cannot move around without someone constantly looking over your shoulder to make sure you aren’t getting up to anything. Thinking they’re sick of you is an overstatement, however. I believe these people have been starved for allies for so long, there’s some form of camaraderie among all of you simply for fighting the same battles. Even those of you who aren’t thought too highly of.”

               For his part, he doesn’t trust anyone but himself. A harsh outlook to have, but one that’s necessary for what he’s hoping to accomplish. Recreating a world isn’t a goal he’s willing to risk for the sake of personal alliance. He does not, however, dislike some of the people in his company. He turns to look at the elf with a perked brow, though he knows he can’t see his expression.
