Reminder to the chronically ill and disabled: be kind to yourself:
Your life saving medication come in plastic bottles, but that’s okay
The needles you use to take your shots cannot be reused, but that’s okay
You don’t have the energy to garden or compost or engage in sustainable practices that require extra energy, but that’s okay
You might rely on precut/peeled produce that’s wrapped in plastic, but that’s okay
Your heating pad uses a lot of electricity, but that’s okay
You may need animal products in your diet to survive, but that’s okay
You are not a bad environmentalist for what you can’t control. We are not a monolith, therefore we cannot all subscribe to the exact same lifestyle, because we all have different needs. Sustainably starts with sustaining your body.
