6th of june 1994 Brian Lara achieved immortality with the highest score in first-class cricket history: 501 not out. As if his Test-record 375 wasn't enough, Lara took the first-class record within two months when he surpassed Hanif Mohammad's 499 while playing for Warwickshire against Durham at Edgbaston. He had a few near-misses - Lara was bowled off a no-ball on 12 and then was dropped by wicketkeeper Chris Scott on 18 (Scott apparently said: "Oh dear, he'll probably go on and get a hundred"). In all, Lara faced only 427 deliveries, and hammered 62 fours and ten sixes. On the final day he whacked 174 runs before lunch. For good measure, he also became the first man to make seven hundreds in eight first-class innings, the first of which was the 375. He lost his Test record briefly to Matthew Hayden in 2003 but took it back in April 2004 with 400 against England in Antigua. #rohitsharma #viratkohli #msdhoni #rohitsharma45 #cricket #ipl2020 #cricketwireless #cricket🏏#ritikasajdeh #cricketlife #cricketlovers #cricketlover#cricketmatch #cricketmerijaan #cricketmemes#teamindia #bleedblue #cricketshaukeens #cricketlove#lovecricket #cricketforlife #cricketbat#cricketf#cricketfans #cricketfamily #cricketer#kingkohli #cricketfan #samaira https://www.instagram.com/p/CBGE26jFqsq/?igshid=6im9qhlgemk8
One last meme. This meme takes another quote used in digital cultures and mixes it when a controversial cricket moment. Apologies now for the profanity, but I think this meme captures digital culture very well
So to start I thought to post one of my favourite cricket memes. This meme incorporates a trend of ‘dabbing’ in it as the man performing the action (Michael Slater) is doing it completely wrong. And it’s hilarious 😂 The bottom image is of the great, Richie Benaud commentating on a very old match, but the content of what he is saying goes perfectly with the image attached to it. I just love this meme and every time I see it, I can’t help but laugh. Really great meme 👌 Credit- The Cricket Memes on Facebook
This meme combines a very popular image that is used for other memes, in the little kid fisting pumping. Also, a current trend is to take photos that were used for memes and caption it as above. Virat Kolhi was once again used because he was involved at the time the meme was made as he celebrated a wicket, or a win, without contributing to the game. Credit- The Cricket Memes on Facebook

Due to how funny I think memes are, I decided to create my own. Adam Zampa of the Melbourne Stars got hit in the face with the ball, but actually ran out the batsmen in amazing circumstances. I found this photo and added a funny caption to it, which I then submitted to The Cricket Memes on Facebook, where the photo received 2.1K likes. I wanted to become apart of the digital culture of memes, therefore I did. I feel it's important to note that in a reading by Kristina Busse and Shannon Farley called "Remixing the Remix", the that it states that creating memes such as this doesn't go against any copyright or plagiarism laws as it's an original concept.
Indian fans when they realize the final is in Ahmedabad again… 🥲 Some pressures are harder to handle than others. Good thing our pumps are built for it.
