I just spent a week at a camp where the girls talked about pretty well nothing other than boys and clothing. When asked what books they were into, all but one said the last book they read that wasn't for school was the hunger games (the movie version of which, to them, was a cinematic masterpiece). none of them had heard of the book 1984 and when faced with the word DYSTOPIA all they could do was cock their head to the side and slacken their fucking jaws in incomprehension.
I am not a judgmental person. They were fucking idiots.

I had played basketball since I was about four or five, basically as soon as they would let me. Both my parents had played and I looked up to them so much that I wanted to be playing so badly. I wanted to be as good as my father who had even received a college scholarship for it. However, I broke my toe the day before tryouts freshman year and missed the team. My friend convinced me to try crew camp and I absolutely loved it, and it went from there...

don't get me wrong, but i'm kind of loving being "single" at home. not having the nagging feeling that i'm bound to someone. knowing i can be wherever i want, when i want, and no one will ask questions or care in the least what i'm doing.
