The challenge of accurately measuring out the amount needed when you’re using Knitting Yarn instead of Rug Yarn, is a Big One. Knitting yarn stretches, due to its composition; mete out too much, you lose money, too little you lose credibility. Lawd! Yarn support—who has indie rug yarn? Development is WORK and it takes TIME. This is why I get upset with the whole “Just Do It!” call-to-action mantra. I cannot Afford to “fail fast and fail often”. The Material World doesn’t allow for such foolishness.
