I have favorites and I'm not ashamed to admit it! This photo from Paolo's recent photography session is my favorite from @180pdx It shows the attention to detail that's true #craftedpdx . I loved it at first sight and loved it even more that it was the first of Paolo's photos that 180 choose to use. Here's why! . Xurros - 180 - PDX - Xurros - 180 - PDX - Xurros . Working branding into a photo shoot can sometimes feel forced. Paolo has a way of capturing it naturally without staging a scene. He sees something beautiful, in this case 180 manager Davida hand filling and firing Xurros. Without skipping a beat he shifts to grab the shot and the branding. Totally natural, organic and real. . Food photography meets photojournalism. . Instagram is changing the way we look at Food. . Perfect, overly staged powdered sugar placed by the grain food photography falls short of connecting. . Share the love, hard work and attention to detail by showing the creation of food. . Authentic, real and on point. Paolo is a #portlandartist #portlandphotographer and together we are #portlandentrepreneurs behind @alorconsulting Six years ago today Paolo and I met and fell in love in New York City. On our anniversary I want to celebrate the Craftsman and Artist in my life, the man who holds my hand. ❤️📷🖥❤️📷🖥❤️📷🖥❤️📷🖥❤️📷🖥 For those who follow and don't yet know us personally Paolo is the Italian born and raised artist behind #paoloferrariscolors He studied cinematography in Rome before moving to London and on to New York where he grew his own photography business through persistence, passion and craft. Not a single day goes by that he does not work on his craft. He is at his happiest traveling the world, crafting images that capture life and movement. He brings passion and his love of intese color to his fine art and to all his photography for ALOR. Paolo once told me, "people need time to see beauty." Paolo took the time to see the beauty in the hands of Craftsmen and Craftswomen, which is how this series came about. He's focusing on conveying the passion and dedication he sees all around him in Portland.
