The Disaster, an event that was relevant in the first season but so little of it was mentioned on what exactly it was that it really just became an abandoned plot point.
"The only thing I remember of it is that it was a part of Tasuku Ryuenji backstory and that Kyoya blamed adults for it...... I never imagined that this is what he meant."
It was just a stroke of luck that she he managed to get away with the important documents. Memories of the event earlier still played in his her head.

So according to a staff member (@astid_astid) The Disaster was a Tsunami but was scrapped because of similarities of real-life disasters. They were probably talking about the Touhoku's earth quake and tsunami that happened in Japan on March 11, 2011.
